Introduction
Glyn Parry
Have we got a great lockdown project for you!
The Land Rover Range Rover was the world's first truly luxurious off-roader. It has a timeless body shape that still looks incredible on the roads today. It was built as a two-door model for its first 11 years until a four-door also became available in 1981.
This is the Vouge EFi variant that is powered by a 3.9L Rover V8 engine. In the early '80s the Range Rover's appeal drew a new demographic of buyer who wanted space, driving position, and off-road capability with the interior comforts and ride quality of a luxury saloon car. The Vouge variants featured matte-finished walnut door cappings, automatic gearbox, and electric windows.
We think this is an ideal candidate for a lockdown project. Importantly it's very straight, looks solid with good bodywork - a perfect base to start from. You can imagine how stunning it will look with a bit of work. Also, it could be a sound investment as these early examples are going up in value. Only a few weeks ago we sold a 1989 in great condition for just over £19k - bidding was fierce.
