Introduction
Tom Valle
The timeless British roadster, the MGB is a practical and pretty stalwart in the MG classic lineup.
The MGB was first introduced to the world in 1962 and produced until 1980, the soft-top sports car formula of the MGB stayed relatively simple throughout. The MGB saw a new B-series engine added, this example having been fitted with an uprated 2000cc stage 2 engine. It's good looks, honest charm and simple mechanics made it hugely successful over the years, shortly becoming Britain's best-selling sports car. Still today it is a noticeable favourite among many enthusiasts in the world of classic cars.
This car is coming out of 8 years of ownership and care, having been restored with easily over £12,000 spent to get it to the condition it sits in today, and upgraded early into the current ownership. Finished in a lovely white on black colourway with sporty MG wheels, it stands out on the roads today.

Ask Questions
As this should be a ‘Rubber Bumper’ car, (post Sept 1974) have there been any valence/wing body line changes in the front or rear to enable the chrome bumpers to fit?
That is a technical question for me! I must confess, although I love the MG, I have relied on the expert service of professionals to maintain it, primarily Vermont Classics in Leeds for the big stuff, like engine upgrade etc. The bumper was fitted before I purchased it but from memory, I’m sure I’ve been told a rubber bumper could be easily refitted if desired.
Also, although it isn’t advertised, I do have the original leather hood too, which is included, if someone wanted to take it back to the original.
Hope this helps.
Roger
