Introduction
Kevin Lou Jacutan
A proper modern classic with a superlative 5.3 litre engine that develops 295bhp with a 150mph top speed - big numbers back in the mid-eighties.
Die hard XJS fans had to wait eight years before Jaguar finally offered a cabriolet derivative, a two-seat targa-type model, which was subsequently replaced by a full convertible in 1988.
The car features a targa-style removable hardtop panel with a fold-down rear window. Initially, the car was launched with a 3.6-litre six-cylinder engine before Jaguar announced the 5.3L V12 in 1985; outputting impressive figures of 291bhp.
This car comes fresh to market with having just two previous owners and finished in arguably the best colour combination, Cobalt Blue / Doeskin and has clearly been looked after by its fastidious owners.
This auction listing was written from information supplied by Kevin after meeting Mark the owner, and having visited and photographed the vehicle.

Any accident damage?
Hi, None while me with me and looking back at the history I can not see any and there is nothing noticeable on the car. There is more history on the car on the following web site http://www.xjsdata.com/cars/detail/?car=SAJJNACW3CC128291
Thanks.
Thanks for that. Forgot to ask do you know when the respray was done and how much did it cost? Any photos available?
Thanks
Sorry no photos, it was only a part respray that started as a repair to the drivers side front sill, they resprayed both the passenger and drivers side and the bonnet and wings. It cost me £1900.00. Thanks Mark
Hi Mark
Does the air conditioning/heater work OK?
Has the gearbox oil and filter been changed that you know of?
Thanks
Hi, the air conditioning is not the best, I would guess it wants re-gassing. The gearbox oil and filter where changed by the garage I purchased it from as part of the deal. Thanks Mark
Good morning from Australia, I am interested in your Beautiful Jaguar, there are no pictures of the undercarriage do the authorities in Yorkshire use salt on the roads and are you aware of any rust other than mentioned in the description.
Hi and good morning to you,
Yes they do use salt on the roads in my area, but the car is not used during these times, through the last winter I used wax oil type product on the underside and covered the car.
Other than the rust mentioned on the MOT on the rear drivers side sill and on the underside of the passenger side door, shown in the photos, I believe all is good, I recently had some bodywork sorted on the drivers side front sill. Thanks Mark
