Introduction
Dom Ginn
The +8 was pioneered in the late '60s and is credited for creating major brand appeal for Morgan.
The Plus 8 was produced by Morgan for 36 years between 1968 and 2004, and was reborn in 2012 to 2018. Among enthusiasts, the +8 is deeply associated with Peter Morgan, the owner-chairman behind its design. Installing a meaty V8 engine in the front of a traditional Morgan roadster was an ingenious idea that worked well for Morgan. They created Britain's fastest accelerating production car for a time and this creation proved so endearing it remained on sale with very little alterations for 36 years.
This example has one former owner who kept the car in Abu Dhabi for the majority of his ownership. Cliff, a professional engineer, purchased the car 9 years ago and has enjoyed using and tinkering on the car since. Just ~22,000 miles recorded, a classic design is given a somewhat striking character with the paintwork on this example.
This auction listing was written from information supplied by Dom after meeting Cliff the owner, and having visited and photographed the vehicle.

Does the infamous understeer effect day to day driving and what tips have you incorporated to counter it?
Thanks once again Tim
Hi,
The road tax is £270 – 12 months.
The car is the wide bodied all aluminium, the panels are all good a couple of very minor stone chips, as pictures show.
the car does not understeer it drives very well with the normal Morgan stiff ride.
Regards Cliff.
Hi simple question—how big is the steering wheel ?
I see it’s a standard Morgan issue; is it 15 in.? As you have got older -as we all do -is this enough without power steering esp at low speeds I take it no smaller……
Are you allowed to tell me the reserve?
Many thanks Tim
Ps the car is a credit to you Cheers
Hi, The steering wheel is 15inch and I have never felt the need for power steering, the secret is to keep the kingpins well lubed
And no to second question.
