Introduction
Andrew Taylor
It took some inspiration from West Bromwich to bring together American muscle, sharp Italian styling and luxury interior to create the Interceptor.
The Jensen Interceptor has surely carved a place for itself in the 1960's hero-car hall of fame, based on that renowned combination of American muscle and Italian sophistication. The very significant, for its day, propulsion was taken care of by lazy but muscular V8 power giving this GT car supercar killing performance; 140MPH and sub 8 second 0-60MPH times. The ageless elegance of the exterior was courtesy of Carrozzeria Touring of Italy making this car a perpetual head-turner both at launch and today.
This is a 1969 car, making it one of the last of the MKI cars and it has been clearly cherished and well cared for during its life. In its current ownership the car has undergone a further comprehensive schedule of works including a marvellous, and very fragrant, interior re-trim, a quality respray and numerous mechanical improvements and upgrades. These include replacement of all seals, bushings, suspension components, engine consumables, steering and brake parts and lubricants. This Interceptor is now ready for its next lucky owner to use and enjoy.

Arya..
I see the service history extends only until 2014. Is this correct?
Also, just for info, is the Interceptor currently MOTd??
Thanks.
TheHunter
Hi, yes that is correct. As the car has not been used and been just started up regularly. The car doesn’t need any mot as it’s classified as a historic vehicle and as such is not mot’ed. However the car would easily go through an mot with no issues.
Thanks Arya, I suspected that was the case. It’s just that I have always had my pre-73 MoT-exempt classics MoT’d. Having said that, your fine Interceptor certainly looks as though it would not trouble the inspectors! I’d love to win this auction but fear it may be a little rich for me. Good luck to you!
