Introduction
Dom Ginn
The 911 T is a stunning piece of automotive history, in todays terms its relatively nimble and modest, but that flat-six powering the rear wheels in a lightweight package is still as exhilarating today as it was in the 70s.
The 911 took over from the original 356 shape when first shown to the world in 1963 at the Frankfurt Motor Show. The 911 quickly became a favourite among racers around the world, for their powerful engines, lightweight package and reliability. The engine could cope with a race-long thrashing and was relatively affordable to repair over a season.
The 1971 models D-series models featured a long-wheelbase design to improve handling, they also featured galvanised floorpans coated with PVC in an effort to reduce corrosion.
This matching numbers example was imported from California around 4 years ago, and then underwent an extensive restoration in the current ownership. It's been finished in the factory colour of Tangerine with black leatherette interior, and the car has been restored with a stock factory specification in mind.
