The Jaguar F-Type was big news when launched in 2013. The F-Type was praised as being the sportiest Jaguar since the XJ220, and the eager press and public were not disappointed. As a genuine two-seater sports car, not only did the F-Type coupe and roadster undercut its rivals for the price but it also filled a niche that slotted in between the V8 market and the compact mainstream sports car. Visually taking more than a fair share of styling cues from the C-X16 concept car. Obviously, being a Jaguar, it wasn’t just about the engine. The build quality, the badge, choice of materials, practicality and the styling often vie for first place in pub conversations when one might discuss the best reason to buy an F-Type.

This stunning low mileage F-Type was purchased from Marshalls in Cambridge, who got the car in for a customer and had it registered ready for them when the deal fell through. This is when Charles stepped in and purchased the new car, but he is showing as the second owner as it was already registered.

Exterior

What a beauty! The F-Type is a real looker, but add the R-Dynamic option to it, and it moves to the next level offering a more aggressive look.

Wheels and Tyres

The 20” five-spoke wheels are in excellent condition. The red Jaguar centre caps are in good condition with no signs of corrosion. The tyres are matching Pirelli P Zero with some wear, and there are a few marks to the kerb protector, but they do look to have a good amount of miles left on them.

Bodywork

The F-type is in excellent condition, having covered just ~13,969 miles; it’s clearly well cared for. There are no dings or dents to mention, and all of the panel gaps look to be as Jaguar intended.

Paint

What better colour could there be? We think none! The "Cadera Red" is in stunning condition with a deep wet look finish enhanced by the Autoglym Lifeshine application, which was professionally applied and came with a unique "Lifeshine" guarantee number.

Thanks to such low miles, stone chips are something of a rarity on this F-Type. Charles mentions that the car had some minor paintwork to the front of the car, as someone backed into it while it was parked in his absence, repaired professionally to a very high standard. The images taken are from various angles and reflections to show the car as you would see it if you were standing there for yourselves.

Glass and Trim

The windows are in excellent condition with no scratches to mention, and the same can be said for the seals and trims around the windows.

The lights both to the front and rear are in good condition, with a clear finish and no cracks. Being the R-Dynamic version, the car came with the extra lower spoiler and side skirts. These are finished in gloss black and are also in excellent order.

Interior

Sports seats finished in leather and suede have hugging bolsters to keep you tight around the twisty bits.

Seats and Carpets

As you can imagine from the mileage, the seats are in excellent condition with no apparent signs of damage to the high wear areas such as the bolsters, apart from some very light creasing which you would expect.

The carpets are in good order and covered with a set of mats. These have some light wear, but nothing excessive.

Dashboard

The black leather and suede dashboard has no damage or wear to point out. The instruments are working as they should and show a reading of ~13,969 miles, and there are no warning lights present when the car is running.

Steering Wheel / Gear Stick

Fitted with a flat bottom multi-function steering wheel, this is in good order with no major wear owing to the mileage. Mounted to the rear of the steering wheel, the paddle shifters enable a smooth, quick change if desired.

In addition, there is a gear-selector in the centre console should you wish to use the more conventional method of an automatic. Please see the interior gallery for more detailed images.

Mechanics

340BHP and a 0-60mph in 5.7 seconds - this big cat isn’t one to hang about.

Engine and Gearbox

The 3.0 litre supercharged V6 sounds fantastic as it breathes through the centre exit exhaust, which you will hear from our "On the Road" video. The car starts up as it should with no issues to mention and as you would expect with just ~13,969 miles covered.

The F-Type pulls well through the gears, and the change is smooth using either the paddle shift or the automatic option. The car has been put through a minor service with a local garage, and has 2 service records with the main dealer too.

Suspension and Brakes

The suspension is as to be expected, with no knocks or clunks coming from any corner. The brake discs look to be in good condition with no lip to the edge. Charles reports that the brakes are working as they should, bringing the F-Type to a halt with no issues.

The Drive

Out in the F-Type R-Dynamic, the ride is as firm as you would expect with any sports car. It pulls well and basically won’t fail to disappoint being a driver, passenger or even a pedestrian as it looks and sounds amazing.

Electrics and Other

All of the electronics are reportedly working as they should. A large display screen allows you to control the media side of things and operates as a screen for the reversing camera.

History and Paperwork

A low mileage example of Jaguars flagship sports car, effectively one owner from new and recently prepped for sale.

Three services have been carried out on the mileage covered, and there have been no issues with the car in between these, so the paperwork is relatively thin on the ground, which is not a bad thing.

Charles has just had a service carried out on 17.05.2022 at 13,951 miles, which is an excellent addition for the new lucky keeper of this 2017 low mileage, and really one owner, Jaguar F-Type R-Dynamic.
