Launched in 2003, the Bentley Continental was the first car to be made under VAG management, and has succeeded to become one of Bentley's finest grand tourers, using mass production manufacturing techniques from the factory in Crewe, Cheshire.

This 'Beluga Black' Continental GTC currently belongs to Phil who has thoroughly enjoyed touring in the car across Europe for the past 2 years. As you would expect, it comes highly spec'd to show off the latest features and technology the Continental GTC had to offer. The GTC is powered by the mighty 6.0L twin-turbocharged W12 engine, which produces a whopping 552bhp with a top speed of 197.6mph, offering a fantastic wind-through hair motoring experience.

Phil fancied himself a Continental, and when this all-black GTC example came up for sale he couldn't resist adding it to his collection.

Phil likes his cars, and when he was in the market for a sporty convertible he came across this luxurious Continental GTC, it met all his needs and he bought it back in 2020.

After having his fun in this thrilling grand tourer Phil has decided to part with the car and focus his attention on his favourite other pastime, restoring boats. Phil will be more than happy to answer any of your questions in the comments below.

Beluga Black paintwork and black gloss alloys offer a sophisticated and sporty look on any road.

Wheels and Tyres

Phil has changed out the original Silver wheels for 20" gloss black wheels, found here and presenting in overall good condition. Looking closely, we did notice some very signs of curbing to the edge on the nearside front alloy.

Phil reports Pirelli P-Zero's are fitted and dated 2011 and we did notice that the front nearside has some non structural damage to the tyre wall. View the image gallery and video review to see the detail.

Bodywork

The bodywork of this GTC presents in great condition, with all the panel gaps around the car look to align very well, just as you would expect from a luxury grand tourer car of this calibre.

Everything looked crisp and sharp - we did notice just a few age-related marks including stone chips, the odd scratch and a small ding in the passenger door.

Paint

Finished in a desirable and timeless "Beluga Black", the paint appeared in good condition on our visit, finished to a high standard, with even coverage and colour across each panel. On our visit we did notice the smallest area of flaking to the bottom offside side skirt and some light staining to paint on the rear convertible hood flap.

Glass and Trim

The glass on this example looks great and in line with the mileage and ownership, we didn't notice any major chips, cracks, or discolouration on our visit. The window seals look good too and in line with the rest of the condition of the car.

Fully equipped with the latest technology 2008 had to offer, with the iconic diamond stitched seats.

Seats and Carpets

Equipped with black leather diamond quilted stitched seats which look in great condition within this luxurious and sporty cabin.

The soft leather continues to the door cards, and the car has deep pile carpets with over mats. You can tell this car has been cared for over its lifetime.

We just noticed a very small stain to the nearside rear passenger's carpet.

Dashboard

A familiar and luxurious Bentley setup to anybody who's driven one before, the classic and classy chrome bezel dial instrument set up greets you as you sit within this car.

The dashboard in this car has no signs of any major damage or scuffs.

The odometer showed a reading of ~40,831 miles on our visit.

Steering Wheel / Gear Stick

The original four-spoke multifunctional Bentley steering wheel is fitted and equipped with an airbag.

The original steering wheel presents in great condition in line with the mileage of this car, the automatic gearstick looks great too, finished in chrome.

Mechanics

Sit back, relax and let the W12 6.0L whisp you up to 60mph in just 4.8 seconds.

Engine and Gearbox

The real talking point of this Continental GTC is the 6.0L twin-turbo W12 engine, which produces a whopping 552bhp, 0-60mph speed of 4.8s, and a top speed of 197.6mph.

Take a look to see 'One the Road' footage and hear the 6L kick into life. Phil reports that the car goes through the gears as it should. Take a look at the mechanical video to see the car starting from cold, driving around, and for a closer look underneath the GTC, and the smart engine bay.

The car was last serviced by a local Bentley specialist ~300 miles ago in July 2022. There is a detailed history file that comes with the car recording all the previous servicing and attention.

Suspension and Brakes

Phil mentions that the suspension feels good, no unusual knocks or noises present, and we didn't observe anything on our short trip in the car.

The GTC offers an incredible mix of build quality, sophisticated image, and refined driving capabilities - you will not be disappointed when you sit in the cabin of the Bentley Continental.

The car is ideal for any journey, with its four-wheel-drive chassis and W12 engine.

This UK RHD GTC is ideal for summer touring across the continent for many years to come - with a very recent service and MOT, this Continental is ready for its next major road trip.

Coming out of a two year ownership, the car comes with a fresh service and and various receipts / MOTs / invoices for work over the years. With the last serviced carried out by a Bentley specialist ~300 miles ago on the 22nd July 2022.
