Meet the owner

Alfred is a huge Porsche fan. He describes himself as liking a thrill – you can see how when he puts his foot down in the ‘On the Road video’.

He has owned at least one Porsche for the last 30 years and has loved every second of it. Between owning his second and third Porsche he regrettably owned a Golf and couldn’t handle not having a Porsche, so he was straight back on the phone with his local Porsche dealership.

Alfred will be sad to see a car he has loved driving for so many years leave his ownership. He is selling the Porsche as he now has a Fiat 500 ‘Abarth’ that is more suited to his lifestyle.

As mentioned, Stuart, our consigner, had the pleasure of riding alongside Alfred in the ‘Meet the Owner’ and ‘On the Road’ videos – he was seriously impressed by the performance of this vehicle. At one point he definitely shouted ‘accelerating’ with pure excitement. He tested the functionality of the vehicle being driven on the road at various speeds and we have seen no issue with the car during our inspection, just satisfaction.

Hi, I see from the MOT that there is an issue with the windscreen. I could not see from the photographs. Is a replacement required or can a repair be carried out? I was very pleased to see David Phillips name on the service history. Any reason why the car was serviced at different specialists? By no means a deal breaker I just know how good David and his team are.

Very nice looking car. Can I ask if it has it’s original ims bearing fitted. Also I watched the video of the cold start. It was hard to tell but do the exhaust emit a bit of blue smoke on the first start from cold.

Hi Tom, we’ve talked to Alfred, and having reviewed all the paperwork the cars comes with, can’t say for sure that the IMS has been replaced. As a result, we revised the guide price on this car to reflect this. Hope that helps!
