Introduction
Darren Rungasamy
The Porsche pretender with a sensational punch, examples like this are certainly hard to find.
In 1989, Toyota introduced the Supra Turbo, which quickly established itself as the pinnacle of the company's lineup of passenger cars. The Supra model had evolved from the Celica, and Toyota positioned it further upmarket without sacrificing its sporting ability. Impressively rapid, with a 0-60 time of under 7 seconds and capable of exceeding the national speed limit twice over, the Supra Turbo was the first of Toyotas supercar contenders. Combining their famous build quality with driving dynamics without losing that unfettered RWD experience, the Supra Turbo also offered a practical and civilised driving experience around town.
This 1989 3.0i Turbo model is a genuine UK-spec car and has seen just one previous owner. The current owner has kept the car for an impressive 28 years and has ensured that it has stayed in the best possible condition. The car received a new engine, followed by a new turbo in the mid-90s and has since run impeccably since then. It comes with an MOT to August 2023 and is a superb example of Toyota's flagship model - a genuinely rare opportunity to obtain a modern classic in such original condition.

Hello, the cars interior looks to have a yellow tinge. Has it been regularly smoked in or is that the camera or backlight? Thanks
After purchasing the car 30 years ago, as a non smoker I have never allowed anyone to smoke in the car. The car has been garaged since purchase and there is no fade or colour change in the upholstery at all, I assume the appearance of yellowing is to do with the photography.
Hello,
What’s the issue with the RHS bonnet stay? I could see a pair of mole grips attached in the video.
Also the most recent MOT mentions an oil leak. Where’s that coming from?
Regards
gas struts need replacing. Just been M.O.T’d mechanic says there is a minor oil leak but could not tell me where it is coming from due to the lower cover under the engine compartment
Hi, does the air condition work?
