Introduction
Jacob Boodrie
The Mk3 V6-powered Golf offered lots of power in quite an understated packet.
Produced from 1991 to 1997 this is the Mk3 generation Golf which replaced the GTi G60. With ~172BHP to tap into the VR6 is not slow either. The car is powered by the naturally aspirated 2.8L 12V narrow-angle V6, and mated to the five speed manual gearbox.
This Mk3 Golf VR6 comes fully spec'd with lots of additional extras, and with only ~44,000 miles on the clock. The car is finished in 'Brilliant Red' and comes to market with Mark, who is the second owner and before him the original owner had the car since new.
This car has a lot of originality, a great specification and a high-performance engine that's got investment potential written all over it.
This auction listing was written from information supplied by Jacob after meeting Mark the owner, and having visited and photographed the vehicle.

I WANT ONEAsk Questions
Because the car was his pride & joy and due to GDPR the garage cannot share details pre 2011 I have the print off from VW as I previously stated which will be given to the successful buyer.
As the previous owner has dementia how do you or he know that it’s been serviced? Are you saying you have PROOF of 5 services completed between 2011 and 2016 and is so can you provide the dates, mileage and a print off of the online service record of those services plus the date and mile of the service you carried out with proof also?
So currently its had ONE service in 27 years as opposed to the 27 services it should have had? Not sure the soft shoes make it more serviced or looked after as the car doesn’t know oR care if you wear wellies or slippers when you press the rubber pedals
No the car has been serviced all its life with VW up until 2016 when the car was parked up if you check the Mot history. I have the VW service history from 2011 to 2016 service as held electronically. The years previous to this it was also serviced by VW but was done the old fashioned way and the previous owner has dementia and can’t find the stamped book.
When and where has the servicing been done?
The car was serviced by the supplier VW dealer Helston Garages. When I purchased it early this year I carried out a full service.
Hi mark – are there any invoices / garage stamps for oil changes or servicing? I couldn’t see anything in the paperwork pictures – thanks ant
Hi I have the receipt for the service I had done. The car was parked in a heated garage and unused for 5 years. I have contacted the local VW dealer who maintained it and am awaiting any documentation they may have. The car has been looked after the original owner drove the car in soft shoes only. I presented it for Mot with no pre Inspection and it went straight through with no advisories. When I started the car after being stood for 5 years there wasn’t any smoke the engine is really quite & smooth. The car is really genuine and unmolested Hope this helps. Thanks Mark
