Introduction
Jacob Boodrie
Extremely collectable, this is a Knightsbridge edition press car - a great end to one of the most iconic classics out there.
Over five million Minis were produced between 1959 and 2000, however, with lots of choice between many different models and editions, each car has its own place in the history of Mini. This car is an official limited edition "Knightsbridge" model, with trim which consists of cream "Alpaca" leather interior and wood dash, with the exterior finished in a "Pearlescent Sienna Gold" paint, the car also comes fully equipped with Airbags, side impact bars, SRS seat belt restraints and driver seat belt secure detection lamp.
The car is 1 of 8 produced by Rover for publicity use in December 1999, with only 4 currently registered. This example was completely rebuilt between 2007 to 2012 and has been owned by close family and friends for the previous 16 years, and in the current ownership for just over a year. This particular example has been extremely well kept and rebuilt by an avid Mini enthusiast, it comes with a great amount of paperwork since new, with all the receipts from previous MOT, parts, servicing, tax discs, Mini meets, and the original Mini brochure; in which this exact example was featured for the interior photographs. The reserve on the Mini Knightsbridge has been lowered.
This listing was written from information supplied by Jacob after meeting Alex the owner, and having visited and photographed the vehicle.

Is it possible to add a video covering the corners of the scuttle panels and top of A-panels from different angles? Hard to see in photos the condition of paint work as in the video it quickly passes by both of them. Thanks
I won’t be able to get to the car now until after the auction as I’m working down country.
The paint on both a panels and scuttle are solid and smooth with no blemishes to see.
Thanks the conformation.
In the on road video you say car just passed MOT. But it shows as expires March 24, which is correct ?
The vehicle is having an MOT on Saturday as soon as the auction ends.
Bearing it mind it has done next to no miles since it’s last one it’ll no doubt fly through again.
Many thanks Alex
Are the gearbox synchro’s all good, especially third to second
Yes indeed, when the engine was rebuilt and upgraded to the 1293, everything was rebuilt including the gearbox. Runs sweet and smooth.
Were the Kensingtons 1275 originally then ? It’s an Mpi though, not an SPi ?
Front mounted radiator should really tell me that ….. Sorry !
Does the alarm and immobilser work correctly ? SRS light goes out ok ?
Absolutely. Srs light does what it’s meant to and switches of moments after engine start. No fault airbags here!
Thanks ! Looks a great car tbf ! When it was restored, were the cones done ?
