Introduction
Isaac Wass
The archetypal British sports car - reliable, fun and timeless - a remarkable car that a great entry to classic motoring.
Originally introduced in 1962 and produced until 1980, the soft-top sports car formula of the MGB stayed relatively simple throughout. The B-series engine produces 95bhp at 5400rpm, making it a big step up from its predecessor. Its good looks, honest charm and simple mechanics made it hugely successful and it soon became Britain's best-selling sports car.
This particular example underwent extensive restoration in 1992 at a cost of ~£22,000 and has been stored since 2005, until the current owner, purchased it in January 2023 and had the car recommissioned in June at a cost of just over £2,000. It's now ready to be used and enjoyed for the rest of the summer season.
