A brutal and uncompromising offering from Jaguar, designed to take on the Porsche GT3 - the XKR-S is a car with no reservations about its performance driven design.

First introduced in 2011 the XKR-S was Jaguar's latest, greatest, and fastest production car of all time. Aiming to take on the best of the rest, the XKR-S was competing with the Porsche GT3, Nissan GTR, and the BMW M5.

Packing quite the punch, the XKR-S delivers 542bhp from its 5.0L supercharged V8, propelling the car from 0-60 in just 4.4s and topping out at a blistering 186mph. Not only delivering in straight line speed, the XKR-S delivers on the handling front too, with tweaked suspension, dynamic stability control, and active differential all coming together to provide the car with substantially improved performance over its predecessors.

Meet the owner

Fast, fun, and frighteningly raw, my XKR-S has put countless smiles on my face since the day I first sat behind the wheel.

Michael first purchased the car in April 2021 with just ~26,900 miles on the clock, since then he has thoroughly enjoyed his time with the car. Michael has made no modifications to the car and it is a completely standard.

Speaking with Michael he enjoys the rarity of the car, with a suspected figure of fewer than 150 left in the UK.

However, having owned the car for two years and doing fewer than ~2,500 miles, Michael no longer feels as though he can justify ownership for the little amount of use it gets. Exterior

With its downturned nose, more aggressive styling, and contrasting black paintwork with red callipers, the XKR-S is a phenomenally presented machine.

Wheels and Tyres

The black wheels are in good condition overall with just some minor marks to the outer lip.

Likewise the Pirelli P-Zero Tyres are in good condition and look to be free of any damage to the outside sidewalls or treads - they are DOT marked 2015 making them approximately 8 years old.

Bodywork

The bodywork of the car is in excellent condition, with no visible knocks, bangs, bumps, or other such defects to worry about. All panel gaps look nicely aligned and all body lines are undamaged too.

Paint

The black paintwork is in excellent condition for its age, as usually with a ten year old black cars we typically see a myriad of scratches, chips, and swirls visible in the paintwork, however short of one or two minor scratches on the lower half of the car, the paintwork is otherwise very well presented and has obviously been well looked after.

Glass and Trim

The glass around the vehicle is in good condition, free of any chips, scratches, or cracks, and the surrounding trims are also in good condition.

Trim around the car is limited but where present it is also in good condition and free of major damage.

Interior

The black and red leather interior is a place of class, luxury, and of course performance focused design.

Seats and Carpets

The embossed leather seats in the car are in very nice condition, with no major wear or damage to the leather on either side. The seats are both comfortable and moderately figure hugging through the corners, making them the perfect fit for the performance focused XKR-S, without sacrificing on typical Jaguar comfort and luxury.

Likewise the carpets are in good condition too, with no visible damage, stains, or colour bleaching to be seen anywhere, along with four genuine Jaguar floor mats.

Dashboard

The leather wrapped dashboard is in excellent condition, with no damage to be seen on the upper or lower sections.

Likewise the centre console is in good condition too, with all switchgear present and correct and no damage to the infotainment screen either.

Steering Wheel / Gear Stick

The steering wheel is in great condition, with no damaged or missing stitches, nor any damage to the leather or steering wheel controls.

The gear stick is also in good condition too.

Mechanics

Powered by a 5.0L V8 engine producing 542bhp, the XKR-S is capable of accelerating from 0-60 in just 4.4s and tops out at an eye watering 186mph.

Engine and Gearbox

The V8 engine is the crowning jewel of the XKR-S and during our ‘On The Road’ video, it can be seen to start from cold without issue and perform flawlessly out on the road, with blisteringly quick acceleration and general all round performance.

The automatic gearbox is also in fully working order, changing gears quickly, efficiently, and smoothly without issue.

Suspension and Brakes

With 542bhp under the bonnet, stopping power is definitely important for the XKR-S and as such the brakes are not only big but capable as well, stopping the car with precision and ease during our time with the car.

The discs can be seen to be free of any major lipping or pitting, and plenty of life is left on the brake pads too.

The Drive

The XKR-S is one of the most exciting cars Jaguar has released in recent history, with supercar horsepower, classic Jaguar build quality, and an exemplary driving experience to boot.

The supercharged engine provides linear and exact power delivery in every gear, free of any losses or lag associated with similar turbo charged drivetrains - the XKR-S is a powerful and succinct sports car that blurs the lines between grand tourer and supercar in a delightfully British package.

Electrics and Other

During our time with the car we noted all electrical systems to be working as expected, with all interior switchgear in fully working order and all lights around the car working as expected too.

With its service history and low miles, this well presented Jaguar XKR-S is an excellent example of a rarely seen car in the UK that is tried, tested, and guaranteed to put a smile on your face.

Coming to market from ~2 years of ownership with current owner Michael with a clean MOT until March 2024, the XKR-S is ready to be driven, enjoyed, and cherished by its new owner.

The registration 'MVB 6' shown is not included in the sale and an age related plate will be fitted back to the vehicle before the new owner collects.
