Introduction
Glyn Parry
The second front-engined Porsche, this time utilising their very own 2.5 litre engine.
First released in 1982, the Porsche 944 was based on the 924 but featured considerably more striking contours, as well as a redesigned front bumper with a lower spoiler and wider, more angular wings. Powered by a 2.5L inline-four engine, the Porsche 944 Turbo produces ~220 bhp, which is plenty of power for the 1,180 kg chassis. Combined with the typically low Porsche driving position and driver-centric dashboard design, this meant the Porsche 944 offered an engaging and interactive experience for the driver.
The 944 Turbo comes to market with just 4 former keepers, a modest ~69,181 miles registered on the clock, and less than ~3,000 miles covered in the last ~10 years, a truly remarkable note for a car with this heritage. The Porsche has had a replacement clutch in November 2011 along with some other maintenance. A rare model with long ownership and low usage in recent years, it's looking for an enthusiast to enjoy and improve it over time.
This listing was written from information supplied by Glyn after meeting Vivienne the owner, and having visited and photographed the vehicle.

I WANT ONEAsk Questions
On the registration V5 it says the car is a 944 auto, yet the car is a 944 turbo manual. Do you know why this is?
I have just checked and I can’t think why it says Auto as the vehicle is most certainly and always has been manual.
Is the car registered as an import? The history and V5 details it being used outside of the UK.
I believe the original purchaser travelled to the factory to collect the car and drive it to the UK.
That make sense, thanks Vivienne
Hi Vivienne – not confident enough to buy a car via auction but I hope it goes well . If you don’t manage to sell it can you somehow get back to me ? Hope that’s ok ? I’m NOT a dealer – thanks Stuart
Sorry about the xx didn’t understand the registration process!! Realise now it’s user name – I’ll try to change it …
Thank you Stuart
