Introduction
Jacob Boodrie
This straight-six 2.5L two-seater really does offer top performance with a luxurious interior.
BMW was faced with the challenge of improving and modernising the already beloved first generation of the Z4. The E89 introduced larger dimensions, a folding hard-top, adjustable steering, throttle, and chassis settings, making it appealing to a wider audience of BMW enthusiasts. The Z4 retained its 50/50 weight distribution and enhances its predecessor's environmental credentials.
This particular example comes to us from the original owner since new, and only ~8,300 miles on the clock. It is finished in "Deep Sea Blue" with a "Canberra Beige Kansas" leather interior. The history of this car is quite moving, and the current owner has maintained it meticulously since new, having the car serviced at the local BMW main dealer every two years.
This listing was written from information supplied by Jacob after meeting Sue the owner, and having visited and photographed the vehicle.

Thank you Kulraj, the service provided by Trade Classics has been excellent from start to finish! You have made what could have been a very difficult process much more comfortable for me> 🙂
Auction Update – Reserve met, the highest bidder will win, good luck with the bidding. Best, Kulraj – Trade Classics
Good morning Chris, thank you I’m glad you like the car. The boot is a reasonable size. When the roof is folded down there is a shelf under which you can safely stow luggage. It is enough space for at least a holdall and a medium sized flat suitcase.
If you are unsure about the size I suggest you check the BMW website for the storage capacity in litres regarding the make and model of the car.
Best wishes, Sue
Good morning Sue, lovely car but there is restricted boot space with the roof stored. In your experience, how much luggage can be carried on a top down trip?
Best wishes.
Chris
Hello, thank you for your interest and kind words.
I didn’t buy the wind deflector. I decided having tousled hair was part of the deal 🙂 Although having the windows up when the roof is down offers quite a lot of protection.
You can probably still get hold of a wind deflector if you feel it’s needed.
Good luck!
Hi I was wondering if the car comes with the wind deflector that should sit between the two headrests. Love your car and hope to continue to love and cherish such a beautiful car. All credit to you for looking after it so well. I am the highest bidder at the moment, with the hope of securing it. Fingers and everything else crossed. Take care.
