Introduction
Alan Stuart
The SL model range has hugely evolved over the years - producing some of the most beautiful Mercedes-Benz cars to date.
Originally launched in 1954, the SL was a two-seater roadster that has grown in popularity to become one of the most iconic models in Mercedes-Benz history, providing the perfect mixture of performance and luxury. Over the years, the cars were available as a soft-top convertible, later progressing with the addition of a removable hardtop. This was an excellent idea, perfect for the winter months, with the hardtop making it more like a coupe-bodied car. In 2002, Mercedes stepped up the game with the R230 SL, introducing a whole host of technological wizardry to the grand tourer. One of the main changes was the fully convertible hardtop roof that could be operated at the touch of a single button. You could be sitting at the traffic lights and within ~20 seconds, the roof would be down, ready to enjoy the sunshine. This feature alone proved a huge selling point for the luxurious German two-seater roadster.
The car comes to market after ~10 months of ownership after being inherited, and having covered a considerably low ~38,031 miles over its years, with under ~6,000 miles travelled in the last 5 years. It has a current MOT valid until 17.06.2025.

I WANT ONEAsk Questions
I can see the wheels need a refurbish. Is there any evidence of cracks in them? Do they hold pressure? Additionally is there any evidence of leaks in the boot? Any smell? water stains etc?
Hi there are no cracks to the wheels. Just scuffs as seen in the photos. No issue with the tyre pressures. I will have to check the boot shortly but there is definitely no bad smell to any of the car.
