Introduction
Alan Davison
A small car with a huge reputation – the Honda Civic put Japan’s car industry on the map.
First introduced in July 1972 the Civic was the car that established Honda as a serious player in the North American and European markets. It was a modern design offering a transverse engine, front wheel drive configuration, great fuel economy and it was fun to drive. With a reputation for reliability, pretty looks and a stylish interior the Civic sold well and the model is now one of the best-selling cars of all time. With film roles in "Back to the Future" and "Police Academy" the early cars are now firmly embedded in automotive folklore.
These cars are rare now and one in this condition is a find indeed. It comes to market from 18 years ownership, bought very much for nostalgic purposes, and also due to the car being a low mileage example. As well as converting the car to a manual gearbox, the current owner has had it resprayed, leaving the car in condition rarely found. In his ownership he has only covered ~1,500 miles with only 100 in the last 10 years. We think you’ll agree this lovely little Civic is an absolute gem – take a look at the hi-resolution images and video to judge for yourself.
This listing was written from information supplied by Alan after meeting Philip the owner, and having visited and photographed the vehicle.

Hi
The nearest ferry ports are Belfast or Larne, providing connections to both England and Scotland. If you are thinking of a car transport company there are a number of operators who will do within the UK and Ireland. If it’s further afield you might be better asking the team at Trade Classics as they might be better at answering that. I hope this is helpful
Thank you
Good morning Philip.
I wondered if you could tell me where the nearest port to you is for Collection? I’ve got to try and work out some logistics.
All the very best.
Hi – good question – yes it does run on E10 though I do now always add a fuel stabiliser. Service parts have always been easy to obtain, for everything else it’s a matter of patience and knowing where to look. I’ve always managed to eventually get most that I wanted. I am willing to share with the buyer a few useful contacts that I have learned over the years of ownership.
Thank you
Hello, Excuse my ignorance, but will the car run happily on the new E10 fuel or does it need an additive to protect it?
Also, what is your experience of parts availability?
