Introduction
Paul Wright
The 997 is a fantastic-looking car, but the Carrera 4S's huge hips take it to another level.
The all-wheel-drive 4S version of the 997-generation Porsche 911 arrived on the scene in 2005, quickly establishing itself as a firm favourite for those who found the motorsports version a little too extreme. Porsche actually developed the 997 Cabriolet version before the Coupe, creating a purpose-designed car, not one conceived as an afterthought. The heady combination of open-top motoring combined with the upgraded 3.8-litre engine, active suspension management, and uprated brakes gave the Cabriolet a distinct character all its own.
Coming to market after ~5 years with our vendor, this well-maintained 2009 example is in excellent condition. Being an "S" with the 3.8L engine, comes with the look-out for bore-score. This problem has been rectified on this example, a full engine rebuild approximately 10,000 miles ago at a cost of £9,500, so it’s just nicely run-in for a new keeper.

The soft top is in good condition, it has not been replaced, but spent most of its life in the sun in Cyprus, it is not marked, the rear seats are leather with some small indents about 1 centimetre, hardly noticeable
Has the soft ever been replaced – how much wear and tear is on it – marks etc. also the rear seats – how badly are they indented ??
Hi there, there is no rust on the car, it’s very solid, it spent most of its time in Cyprus owned by a RAF pilot
Hi there I notice a small rust spot o/s/f wheel arch is there any other noticeable areas particularly inner wheel arches as this was the reason I recently sold my 996 as it was starting to be a real problem. tia
Very good condition, it spent it’s early years in Cyprus in the sun, with a RAF pilot
What is the condition of the soft top … has it ever been replaced
