Exterior

Sharp lines, smart lights, big haunches, this cat looks the part.

Bodywork

The first sports car in Jaguar's line up for years provided us with an exciting insight into the future of Jaguar's evolution of providing more aggressive tones.

When observing the exterior body panels upon our visit we saw no signs of corrosion. Shut lines and panel gaps all looked tight like you would expect. It looks like the drivers door has picked up a parking dent near the handle, as seen in the extensive media detailing the condition.

Wheels and Tyres

Black forged alloy wheels, a 5x twin-spoke design, are wrapped in Pirelli P-Zero rubber all around. The wheels have seen better days and are in need of refurbishment due to curbing all around. Take a look at both the video review and the photographs to see the detail.

Paint

Lunar Grey paint really sets the scene of this car for being a truly stunning sports convertible. Even in colour and finish across the car, we noticed some stone chips along the aggressive front lower splitter, and the odd small mark here and there on the rest of the car.

Glass and Trim

In general the glass and trim are in excellent condition across the car with no signs of damage or wear. The chrome surrounds on the side air in-takes do show some signs of oxidation though, and are in need of refurbishment.

Interior

Leather, brushed metal, and hints of bronze to further that sporty feel.

Seats and Carpets

Upholstered in leather across the bulk of the interior, the seats leather is mark free. They have electric adjustment functionality and work as expected.

All underlying material is in a well-kept condition such as the carpets and other materials.

Dashboard

A mix of traditional dials and electronic displays, the dashboard and centre console look very smart.

A really smart layout of controls on and around the centre console, with a mix of carbon fibre and metal.

Steering Wheel / Gear Stick

A simple yet effective design on the steering wheel, controls for the infotainment system as well as the all important paddles for manual shifting of the gearbox.

The gearstick can also be used to change up and down, a small smart package in the centre console.

Mechanics

Powered by a 5.0L supercharged V8, pushing out 488BHP to the rear wheels, a winning combination.

Engine and Gearbox

As mentioned, the car comes with the 5.0L V8 supercharged engine. The car is a longitudinal, front-engined, rear-wheel-drive set-up. The car fires up with no issues, please see the 'Cold Start' video to see and hear it in action.

Mastered through an 8-speed automatic transmission, gears can be shifted through the optional paddle-shift levers, or just left to automatic mode through a variety of settings.

Suspension and Brakes

Operating through independent double wishbone, coil springs, driver-adjustable two-mode variable dampers. All looks healthy in the underside photos of the car with some surface rust occurring in the usual places.

The brakes are one-piece ventilated steel discs with two-piston sliding callipers and single sliding callipers on the rear. As you can see the brakes have been cared for throughout.

The Drive

The F-Type offers an exhilarating experience through motion, style, sound and comfort. The sports convertible has it all as Jaguar will always have the GT image in the back of their minds.

Alex assures us that the car drives as expected and is ready to drive after purchase.

Electrics and Other

The car comes with many features that are mentioned in the history file. Alex assures us all the electrics of the car work as expected.
