Introduction
Glyn Parry
Both elegant and powerful, the DBS is a top of the line GT car with ~510BHP on tap from its 6.0L V12 engine.
The DBS is a top-end production GT sports car, costing £170,000 on first release. The vehicle is based on Aston Martin's VH platform and received a number of technical improvements over its sister car, the DB9. On release, the car was well received from the motoring press, and this continues to be the case over 10 years on. The combination of the power train and chassis set-up, Aston Martin really nailed it with this car.
This particular example comes to market with ~47,700 miles on the clock, in a desirable and ever popular black over black colour combination, and has been in the current ownership for ~1 year. It has lovely service history with Aston Martin to go with it, and presents in very good condition with some choice upgrades like Apple Car Play installed over the stock now dated standard sat-nav system.
This listing was written from information supplied by Glyn after meeting Melissa the owner, and having visited and photographed the vehicle.

I WANT ONEAsk Questions
Hi. New ceramic brake discs were fitted just before I purchased it in April 2022.
Hi, Is this car still on its original brake discs? Do you know how many sets of brake pads it has had? Thanks.
Hi. New ceramic brake discs were fitted just before I purchased the car in April 2022.
I note that the chrome strip on the near-side (passenger) door is misaligned with the chrome strip on the C pillar. This same problem is not evident on the nearside (drivers) door.
What is the reason for the misalignment? Has the door dropped? Trim been poorly (re)fitted? Some other reason?
Along these same lines, is there any evidence of accident damage, whether reported to insurance or not?
Thanks.
Hi. I actually had the same question when I purchased it and had the doors checked for alignment, they are both fine. The history of the car shows no accidents.
Thanks for your reply. Can I ask who checked the alignment? Was it an Aston Martin dealer? Was the car purchased from an Aston Martin dealer?
TIA
Hi. The work was completed by Aston Installation in Oxfordshire.
The vehicle was purchased from Anchor Cars in Reading.
Thanks again for your reply. One more if I may:
I note that the chrome strip that runs across the boot does not align with the continuation of the strip onto the rear left wing.
I note that the car was inspected by Barry Griffin who, my American friends report, is a very particular inspector and I can’t imagine him letting a car out with the trim misaligned like this.
Thanks to your answer regarding the door alignment, I’m left wondering whether the chrome trim on the passenger side of the car was removed for some reason (ie: re-spraying) and not put back very well? Is there anything you can think of?
ps: Forgive the large number of questions. I’m very interested in the car and trying to understand what I see in the pics before considering a bid)
Hi. I am not aware of any damage or repairs ever made to the vehicle, including the boot. The trim may look out of alignment to you on the photo (I cant see it myself) but the panels are aligned.
Hi
Pirelli tyres were fitted by Aston Martin Reading so would be correct for this car
The dealer warranty has now expired.
The dash is not yet indicating the service is due
All service records are registered at Aston Martin and available for any queries on mileage that may be missed by them in the service book
Hi, could I ask you questions ?
1.the Pirelli tyres should be specific for that car actually made for Aston Martin dictated by the letters AM on the letter coding, are three out of the four tyres correct for this car?
2. if you bought the car from an Aston Martin manager, did the car come with an extended warranty at that time?
3. I noticed you missed the service schedule by eight months overdue. is this an oversight or a typo?
4.I notice and two of the services for the mileage it says N/A is this shown in the service book?
Many thanks for your attention Sam
Hi, thanks for answering the above. I understood the Aston Martin to be serviced annually. If there is service not due and mileage left. Would you upload a photo with you amount of mileage left before the next service?
Kind regards, Sam
Hi. As the car is on 47k miles I would think the service is due any day now. The photos of the service record show the intervals required.
Thanks for your comment, but to be fair the service history does not show when the next service is due but I have spoke to Aston Martin and it is annually not by mileage so in actual fact, yes it is overdue for its next service !.
