Powered by the V10 also found in the Lamborghini Gallardo, but with added turbos, the RS6 offers ~572BHP and all the practicalities of a family car.

First unveiled at the 2007 Frankfurt Show, the eagerly awaited revised RS6 attracted Audi fans from across the globe. Powered by a 5.0L V10 engine assisted by two turbochargers, the car boasts a power output of ~572BHP. The reworked exterior features twin exhausts, extra cooling ducts, and flared wheel arches for the 20" alloys. Side skirts and aluminium wing mirrors complete the RS styling we've come accustomed to.

This RS6 Avant is coming to the market after ~18 months ownership, and has only covered around 67,700 miles. It comes with a history that details the upkeep and maintenance of the mechanical aspects of this estate. Presented in "Phantom Pearl Black" over black leather interior, it's a highly original Audi RS6 Avant.

I've always loved fast cars, and I admire the way the RS6 combines supercar performance with exceptional practicality.

Marcus has greatly enjoyed owning this RS6 Avant over the past 18 months, reserving the car for sunny weekends away with his family, which is evident in both the mileage and its condition.

While he had initially hoped to keep this example for many more years of enjoyment, Marcus has decided to part with his beloved weekend cruiser due to house renovations and the need to free up some capital. He will be available to answer any questions about the car in the comments below.

The RS6 offers fearsome capabilities, hinted at by the reworked RS exterior.

Wheels and Tyres

The 20" original wheels are finished in silver and feature grey Audi badges all around. On this particular example, the wheels appear to be well cared for, Marcus reports that he had the wheels refurbished at the beginning of his ownership.

These wheels are fitted with Goodyear Eagle F1 tires, which also seem to be in great condition. They are dated 2020 and have a good amount of tread remaining, with no visible cracking or signs of age on the sidewalls.

Bodywork

The bodywork of this RS6 Avant is in great condition, with all panel gaps aligning as expected. During our visit, we didn't notice any dings along the car's flanks. Everything appears to be well aligned. Being picky however, we did identify a very small stone chip on the offside rear door and a minor mark on the nearside arch.

Paint

Finished in the Audi colour of "Phantom Black Pearl" (code LZ9Y), the paint exhibits a high-quality finish with even coverage and consistent colour across every panel. We did observe a few very small and minor stone chips on the front of the car.

Glass and Trim

The glass on this Audi RS6 example appears well-maintained, with no cracks or discolouration noticed during our visit, except for two very minor stone chips. The window seals are also in good condition and consistent with the overall condition of the car, just some wear in line with use/mileage.

Additionally, the aluminium mirrors, bumpers, grille, door handles, and window surrounds all appear to be in good condition. For a closer look at these details, please refer to the exterior photos.

The interior quality of this RS6 is superb, equipped with tasteful extras that unmistakably convey its sporting character.

Seats and Carpets

Fitted with option code N5M for "Valcona Leather in Black" (QH), the leather wing back sport seats feature RS6 badges embossed throughout. They have retained their shape well over the years, a testament to cherished and careful ownership. The driver's seat exhibits only small signs of age, such as some expected creasing.

Dashboard

The dashboard is adorned with black leather and showcases four black gauges in front of the driver, along with a central LCD display, there is also some carbon fibre trim around the cabin.

The dashboard in this RS6 exhibits no significant damage or scuffs. There are no warning lights displayed, and the odometer showed a reading of approximately 67,701 miles during our visit.

Steering Wheel / Gear Stick

A sporty RS6 badged, flat bottomed steering wheel with flappy paddles is fitted. The original steering wheel is in excellent condition, consistent with the mileage of this car. Mechanics

Marcus was particularly selective in choosing an unmodified and untuned, highly original 5.0L V10 example that has received proper care and attention over the years.

Engine and Gearbox

The engine, also found in star cars like the Lamborghini Gallardo and the S8 (Audi's flagship), is turbocharged, allowing the driver to access its phenomenal power output. In 2008, it was Audi's most powerful car they'd ever produced, all while offering 1,660 litres of luggage space.

On the day of our visit, we started the car from cold, and it performed excellently on the road. The engine pulled smoothly, idled without issue, and ran flawlessly. Marcus reports that the car starts from cold without any problems and drives well, with its smooth automatic gearbox powering all four wheels. Suspension and Brakes

The adaptable suspension seems to be in good condition and offered a smooth journey on the sweeping Devon roads. During our brief drive in the car, it handled just as you'd expect for an Audi from this era and came to a stop without any issues.

The Drive

The Audi RS6 Avant offers an extremely practical yet powerful driving experience. Marcus has enjoyed using the car for road trips around England with his family on sunny weekends.

The RS6 fired up the first time with no reported issues. On the road with Marcus, the car felt solid, with an incredible amount of power to propel it along the road and around sweeping corners. We didn't notice any unusual noises coming from the engine or suspension.

Electrics and Other

We didn't test all the electrics during our visit, but according to Marcus, to the best of his knowledge, all of the electrics are functional and operational, in line with the rest of the car's condition.

If you're looking for an unmodified RS6, with modest mileage for the model at ~67,700, this car coming from ~18 months ownership is well worth a close look.

The car is coming out of a ~18 month ownership with Marcus. It has bags of originality, powered by the V10 5.0L twin turbocharged engine also found in the Gallardo/S8, the car is eye-wateringly quick! The car comes with a stamped service book, and extensive engine work recently carried out to get the car up to a standard Marcus is happy with. Auction Update

The seller MarcusH has shared the invoices for works he mentioned in the video, 2 images, these can be viewed towards the front of the gallery; https://www.tradeclassics.com/auctions/audi/2008-audi-rs6-avant-2/#gallery4-3

These relate to the engine out work, replacing the coolant pipes and oil seal, and a full service, the bill coming to ~£6,000 as pictured.

We have updated the servicing history in line with this too.

Afternoon, Same question re engine out. I cant see a receipt for that work. I can see where it is advised to help rectify a slight oil leak but not if/when it was done. Many thanks, looks like a great car.
