Meet the owner

After owning the car for a year, I'm now looking for the next thrilling driving experience.

Cris is the 7th owner of this Audi R8 V10. Like with every other owner, the car has been cared for meticulously under his ownership, hence the excellent condition this Spyder Quattro is in.

Cris has loved the sound of the V10 engine for the last year and has driven around 3,000 miles in the last 12 months. With an MOT and service in the middle of the period.

It's coming to auction with us a lot sooner than Cris anticipated, this is because he's looking to invest some money in property, and so needs must and the R8 will be auctioned for sale.

This Spyder Quattro, in Ibis White, looks like a lot of open top fun.

Wheels and Tyres

The optional 19in 5-Arm Double Spoke Alloy Wheels are in excellent condition. There is however some minor curbing on the lip of the N/S rear wheel.

19 x 8.5J Front and 19 x 11J Rear with 235/35 and 295/30 Continental Contisport Contact tyres are looking fresh having been only made in February 2020 and fitted with the service this year.

Bodywork

The Spyder Quattro looks more subtle than the usual R8 with the absence of the side blades. The flares, rear vents and a lifting spoiler make the car just as exotic.

As you would expect from a looked-after, serviced example, there are no dents across the bodywork. In the 'Exterior Review' video, you see the soft top perform faultlessly.

Paint

Set in Ibis White, the paint looks even and clean across the Audi. A bit of rain crept up in the photos, but please watch the video as the car is dry to see a fully accurate condition.

Glass and Trim

All looks excellent across the car, including the roof.

Interior

A cabin to match the drama of the V10 powertrain; leather, metal and carbon fibre.

Seats and Carpets

Fine Nappa Leather seats are looking great. No rips or tears with some slight cracking on the seat bolsters. They offer heating functionality and comfort also.

The carpets look clean and well kept. Electrically adjustable seats allow for both driver and passenger to be in their desired position.

Dashboard

Everything looks clean and in line with the rest of the condition of the car. All dials work as expected, whilst the modern amenities attached to the car are ergonomically placed.

A DVD-based satellite navigation system, electronic climate control, CD player with Bluetooth and AUX capabilities are included in this example.

Steering Wheel / Gear Stick

Both looking in great condition. The gear selector with its metal finish has some fine scratching on it, otherwise all looking good.

Paddles behind the wheel and operate the dual-clutch transmission of the Audi. Voice recognition and media controls are placed upon the 3-spoke steering wheel.

Mechanics

A V10 engine, 4 wheel drive system, and semi-automatic gearbox for your choice of driving style.

Engine and Gearbox

The 5.2L V10 (5,204cc) engine produces 517 bhp, 0-60mph in 4 seconds, and can reach speeds of over 190mph.

A dual-clutch automatic transmission, changing effortlessly at your disposal. This car has been serviced by Cris in February 2020, and so is ready for the new owner to enjoy.

Suspension and Brakes

The Quattro all-wheel-drive comes as standard on the V10 Spyder. When that badge is on the back, you know the handling will be on point. 6 time Le Mans winner Jacky Ickx described it as "the best handling road car today" when it launched.

The ventilated disc brakes with R8 detailing on the red callipers look in good condition, with the brake fluid being changed in service schedule in January 2019.

The Drive

The car's dynamics are really something to behold, staying planted through corners, acting ferociously through straight lines, and all the while looking exotic throughout.

As an everyday car, you'll be turning heads on your trips to the supermarket that's for sure.

Electrics and Other

We are assured by Cris that all electrics function on the car as expected.

Coming with many modern technologies such as; Satellite Navigation System, Electronic Climate Control, Heated Front Seats, Theft Alarm, Concert Radio with Front Loading CD Player and MP3 File Compatibility with AUX-IN Socket, Drivers Information System (DIS), Mobile Telephone Preparation - Bluetooth Interface and Voice Control.
