Introduction
Jacob Boodrie
How do you make one of the worlds finest luxury saloon better? Well, fit a monstrous turbo on its already powerful 6.75L V8 and the Bentley Turbo R was born.
The Bentley Turbo R was first introduced in 1985 and was produced for 12 years. The "R" stood for road-holding to set it apart from its predecessor.
The Turbo R is an icon of its era - hand-built, fast and sturdy and full to the brim of decadent luxury. The engineering team at Bentley increased the roll stiffness some 50% compared to the Mulsanne Turbo, a vast improvement that put the turbo V8 power to good use.
We really like this example that Séan has owned for the previous 5 years, it's in really good shape both cosmetically and mechanically and been treated to regular services and maintenance.
This auction listing was written from information supplied by Jacob after liaising Séan the owner.

I WANT ONEAsk Questions
Love the Bentley. I can see the body looks lovely in the pics but living in Devon I cannot view the car before the auction ends. Are you aware of any corrosion anywhere? Have there been any body repairs to your knowledge? Are the wheel arch inner edges nice and crisp? Roger.
Good morning Roger, thank you for your queries.
I looked in detail at the underside prior to my purchase whilst the Bentley was on the car lift, then later on when I had the rear spring cups replaced (a noted problem because of salt and much collection over time) when in the Bentley service bay, again whilst up on the car platform. To my knowledge there is no corrosion. There have been no body repairs that I am aware of and the frame is all in alignment with no signs that I could detect of any previous damage. I had the Bentley specialist go through everything and TEZ was all clear. On the rear RHS wheel arch there are two small paint bubbles, which have been there since I purchased the car – no further movement as the Bentley is kept inside the workshop and dry all the time.
I have regularly cleaned the arches clearing any mud or other debris, the rear spare wheel footwell I have also cleaned and tied up, which gave me another opportunity to look at any possible issues arising – all clear. No rattles no squeaks very quiet .
Please let me know if you require any further information.
Kind regards.
Sean.
