Introduction
Alan Stuart
With timeless 90's styling, some of BMW’s best, continuing the legendary 3-Series heritage, the E30 is largely considered as a real modern classic.
The second generation of the 3 series, also known as the E30, launched in 1982 and remained in production until 1994. Automotive press from around the world praised BMW for its handling capabilities, rear wheel drive and excellent chassis set-up. The model range included various body types, this is a very practical 4-door saloon model. The Lux trim level was first offered in 1990, when the E30 reached its 7th anniversary of production. The standard equipment for the Lux included colour coded bumpers, 14" BBS wheels, front fog-lights, 6 button on board computer, 3 spoke steering wheel, rear headrests, and new material for the upholstery. Additions of the manual sunroof, power steering, front electric windows and rear spoiler to this model give extra standout features.
This example is a lesson in how to look after and maintain a car! Coming to sale from the original owner (one former registered keeper being his business), it has a history file outlining works over nearly every year of the BMW's history. Over the last 5 years alone the exhaust system has been upgraded, the fuel system cleared through, brake master cylinders and hydraulics renewed. Also updated were; new central locking motors, a new steering rack, the coolant system was bled and renewed, a new battery and a new cam-belt was installed. The car has received regular dealership servicing and was last serviced in September 2022 where the steering track rod was replaced along with the wheel alignment being checked. To top that off, it presents in remarkable condition given the age, and has a low documented mileage of ~32,200.
This listing was written from information supplied by Alan after meeting Bob the owner, and having visited and photographed the vehicle.

I WANT ONEAsk Questions
Hi Bob
in the mechanical review video looking under the car, it appears to show a crack in the fuel tank at 9.46 of the video? (Total video length 11.24)
Appreciate its no longer Brand new but do you think it may need a potential replacement fuel tank?
I have just been to the garage which has serviced the car (in September) and they have looked at the video at the point you mentioned, froze the pictures, and confirmed he could not see a crack. There is no smell of petrol and no sign of liquid on the garage floor where it is kept. If you look at the mileage reading in the pictures on the dash it reads 32,237. It now reads 32251. The mileage is the distance covered since the last fill up and the petrol gauge has barely moved. It does not need a new petrol tank.
Hello Bob could you please tell me if the car has had any welding done and what was the reason for having the Door and Bonnet resprayed. Many thanks
Kind regards Noel
There has been no welding on the car. The door was replaced in 1995 when someone drove into it in a car park whilst the car was unattended. It was repaired by a BMW main dealer. A copy of the invoice is in the paperwork shown dated 14.1.95.
The bonnet has not been resprayed, just a small scratch, down to the metal, has been repaired at the very front just in front of the badge where it was scratched, again in a car park. Regards Bob
Thanks Bob.
