Introduction
Jacob Boodrie
The Z3 was warmly welcomed into the roadster market, offering a premium feel with mighty engine power and fashionable styling.
First produced in 1995 until 2002, the BMW Z3 was offered in both roadster and coupe format. BMW took the E36 3 Series platform, combined it with the rear semi-trailing arm suspension set up of the older E30 and produced the first mass-produced Z Series car.
This is a late example of the 2 door E36/7 roadster. The car is powered by the M43B19 inline-four 1.9i offering the driver 117bhp at 5,550rpm.
Brian has been the very proud second owner of this BMW Z3 since 2004 that has the desirable sports touches and raspy 1.9L engine - there's so much fun to be had.
This auction listing was written from information supplied by Jacob after meeting Brian the owner, and having visited and photographed the vehicle.

Dear Paul, My neighbour is 6ft 1″ and is in his late seventies. He has just tried to get in and out of my car which he did easily and tried it in a comfortable driving position and had a head clearance of about one and a half inches. So I would recommend a bid today as it’s the last day of the auction. Best wishes, Brian
Dear Paul, I have to tell you that I am not the tallest person in the UK. But BMW caters for all sizes and I would like to invite you to come down to Dorset and try the car. We could go for a nice drive and try it out before the auction ends and If the car is not sold at auction, then why not after? It will still be for sale. It really is a terrific car and an awesome buy. I wanted my son to have it in Australia but the Australian government make it just too hard.
You have seen the photos/videos and I am sure you can imagine sitting in the seat that I was sitting in. Please stay in touch.
Hi Brian you have clearly cherished your car. At six two inches would I find it comfortable as have always wanted one. particularly as I am about to retire
kind regards
Paul
Brian, have you replaced the seat bushes? Rocking/moving seats a common fault on Z3’s cheers
Hello Wrenco1978, The short answer is, no I haven’t had to replace these bushes. It has 19K genuine mileage and they haven’t worn out as yet. Happy bidding and best wishes, Brian
Hi Brian,I assume no air con but is the roof electric or manual? Cheers paul
Hi Bigjim,
Thank you for your interest. I am not at all sure that air-con was fitted to any of this marque. The hood is manually operated and is very easy to open and close. I chose manual on purpose as to my mind there is a good deal less to go wrong.
I hope this make logical sense.
Thanks.air .con was standard on the bigger engines but an option on this one.Probably not trouble than its worth at this age! Cheers bigjim
