Introduction
Colin Bashford
Not for the faint-hearted, these open top roadsters offer a really thrilling ride with pure driver focus.
The Caterham 7 is a super-light (545kg) sports-car produced by Caterham. It's based on the Lotus 7 (which was only available in kit/factory-build form from Lotus from 1957 to 1972). Caterham bought the rights to the design and today offer both the Seven as a kit and fully assembled cars. There were various variations of the Seven over the years and this is the practical yet thrilling 'Roadsport' variant.
The Roadsport is the second-level offering from Caterham, with a heater, hood, spare wheel, and carpets, powered by a ~150BHP Ford Sigma 1.6L block.
This lovely low mileage example has been used sparingly over its previous ownership, finished in lively red paintwork with white racing stripes, this Super 7 is ready to race!
This auction listing was written from information supplied by Colin after meeting Kristopher the owner, and having visited and photographed the vehicle.
