Introduction

Isaac Waas
Professional Consigner

An open-top masterpiece that captures the essence of Italian luxury and high-octane performance.

The 360 Spider is a proper mid-engined convertible sports car - it replaced the 355, and was a completely new design both inside and out.

Ferrari partnered with Alcoa to produce the entirely redesigned, all-aluminium space-frame chassis, ~40% stiffer than its predecessor. The Pininfarina body design was also ~28% lighter despite a ~10% increase in overall dimensions. Along with a lightweight frame, the revised model is one of the most captivating designs. The 3.6L V8 engine generates a power output of ~395 BHP and achieves a 0-62 MPH time of ~4.5 seconds.

The Spider version of the Ferrari 360 features a fabric hood that folds down in ~20 seconds and is hidden under a rear deck with twin ‘speed humps’ that also conceal the roll-over hoops. The Ferrari includes some great features such as a Tubi sports exhaust, Challenge Stradale front bumper, Ferrari toolkit, Ferrari battery charger, car cover, and three key fobs.

This example currently shows just over ~41k miles from new, comes fresh from ~17 years ownership, recent MOT, and a service from July 2024 including cam belts. With just 2 former keepers, and in its convertible form with the 6-speed manual gearbox, it's a proper drivers' car.

This listing was written from information supplied by Isaac after meeting Paul the owner, and having visited and photographed the vehicle.

Meet the owner

The 360 has been my absolute pride and joy, it's a car that's made to be driven!

Paul, the current keeper, has loved the Spider for the past ~17 years, and lets us know, "I've been a fan of Ferrari for as long as I can remember. As soon as I had an opportunity to own one, I had to get one with the classic Rosso Corsa finish and Crema interior, perfectly Ferrari".

The 360 has been a car that Paul has put a lot of care and attention into, Paul tells us, "The car has had 99% dry use and I've only ever kept the car garaged in my ownership. I wanted the car to stand out a little from the crowd, so I had the Challenge Stradale front bumper fitted and a Tubi sports exhaust to add a little more growl and presence to the engine sound".

The car has been in Paul's ownership for some time now, and is only coming to market due to another car taking up extra room at home, he said, "I'm only selling because i have bought a 488 Spider last year. I don't have the time to use the 360 as my other car takes my priority".

Paul will be happy to answer any questions about the car in the comments section below.

Exterior

With its retractable roof and striking side intakes, the 360 Spider isn’t just a car, it’s a statement of timeless style and exhilarating performance.

Wheels and Tyres

The 18-inch five-spoke alloy wheels, finished in silver with yellow centre caps, look great. The condition is in line with the limited use the car has seen, and we didn't spot any obvious signs of age or damage.

The wheels are fitted with Pirelli PZero Directionale and Asimmetrico tyres, which also appear to be in great condition too, dated from 2014 at the front and 2016 to the rear. The tyres show a good amount of tread remaining, with no visible concerns and a specification of 215/45 for the front and 275/40 for the rear.

For a more detailed view of the Ferrari's exterior and a closer inspection of the wheels and tyres, please refer to the photos and videos.

Bodywork

Stiffness in the 360 is provided through strengthened sills, floorpan and a redesigned windscreen frame. The Ferrari has further stiffness through a cross brace in front of the engine, as well as extra side reinforcements.

A great additional upgrade on the car is the Challenge Stradale front bumper, which makes the car stand out from other examples. During our visit, we found that the car maintains great visual panel gaps, and the doors, bonnet, and boot open and close smoothly. We did not observe any major scratches, dings on the panels, or obvious signs of corrosion.

Our high-resolution images and videos provide a detailed look at these observations, so please take the time to review all the media files to assess the car's condition for yourselves.

Paint

The Rosso Corsa Red finish is a classic choice for the colour. Across the car, the paint has a smooth and even finish across all the panels, overall showing in great condition and complementing the 360 beautifully.

The images are taken from a few different angles to show off the car as you would see it if you were standing there yourself. Please take the time to fully assess these high-resolution images and videos of the car to form your own opinion about the condition of the paint.

Glass and Trim

All the glass sections on the 360 Spider appeared to be in excellent condition, including the windscreen, side windows, and mirrors. The rear covering of the engine bay also presented very well, and we didn't observe any cracks or chips in these areas during our visit.

The window seals look great and are in line with the overall condition of the car. The black trim and window surrounds all appear to be in lovely condition. We did note that the convertible roof had a few tears in the fabric on either side of this section, an area worth considering by the future owner. However, Paul didn't prioritise the rectification as the car doesn't get to see rain. Paul hasn't polished/dyed the roof to ensure it presents genuinely. Whilst the photographs highlight the wear points, all of which are normal on 360 roofs, they're actually less noticeable than this in person.

Check out the exterior gallery and review video. We guide you through all areas of the car as if you were standing there yourself, so you can see in greater detail how the car is presented.

Interior

A beautiful Crema leather interior, a perfect pairing for the Rosso exterior - a driver focused cabin.

Seats and Carpets

The Crema leather seats have held their shape very well, as you would expect for a car of this quality. We noted a few signs of creasing in the leathers and minor wear on the headrests, but nothing overly concerning.

The smart black carpets are in lovely condition, and the black carpet in the boot also looks great. Underneath the floor mats showed no issues with the base carpet sections.

We cover the cabin area of the 360 in more detail in our interior review video.

Dashboard

The dashboard in this 360 Spider is in great condition, and we didn't note any concerning signs of wear.

The dials, switches, and controls are well maintained; all the surfaces appear clear, with no fogging or scratching. The dash display functioned without issue, and everything worked as it should; confirmed by Paul.

We did not observe any issues with warning lights when starting the car from cold or during our road assessment.

Our interior gallery section offers a closer look at the Ferrari's dashboard.

Steering Wheel / Gear Stick

The original black Ferrari leather wheel is fitted and presents in great condition, only a few signs of age-related use. We noted a minor mark to the right-hand side of the wheel, but nothing that was overly concerning.

The manual gear stick is also in great condition, showing only minor signs of use.

Additional images of the cabin area, including the steering wheel, are available in our "Interior Gallery" section for more details on what the Spider has to offer.

Mechanics

A 3.6L V8 engine with 5 valves per cylinder pumps out ~395bhp to the rear wheels, rocketing from 0-62 MPH in just ~4.5 seconds.

Engine and Gearbox

The 360 Spider is powered by a stunning V8 with the 3.6L engine producing a top speed of ~182 MPH at 8,500 RPM - all in all, an extremely impressive and rapid sports car.

The engine appears to be in great visual condition, and during our cold start video, you can see and hear the engine start up smoothly, with no issues, smoke, or unusual noises. While out on the road, the engine performed as expected.

The 360 is fitted with an upgraded Tubi sports exhaust, which sounded beautiful on the road.

Take a look at our "On the Road" video, where we cover the engine start-up and take the Ferrari out to see how it performs out on the road.

Suspension and Brakes

We noted no issues or significant knocks, bangs, or squeaks from the suspension. The brakes in the 360 Spider felt great, with no noticeable pulling or vibrations during the journey, allowing the car to quickly come to a smooth stop, meeting our expectations.

We cover the underside of the Ferrari in our 'Mechanical Gallery' section. Head over to our video section where we've summarized our visit in more detail for you to view for yourself. We take you around the mechanical elements of the car and give you an overview of what's on offer here.

The Drive

Ferrari-tuned suspension, aerodynamic gains, weight reduction, and power improvements make the mid-engine Spider model something special.

Top down, sun out, and the road ahead - it's the perfect blend of speed and sophistication, offering an unforgettable driving experience that's pure Ferrari. Our 'On the Road' video provides an overview of the car and its performance while driving.

Electrics and Other

All switches, dials, and gauges appear undamaged and in good condition. Paul mentioned that he has had no issues with the electrical elements of the car and confirmed that everything is working correctly to his knowledge.

The roof was working well when we visited the Ferrari, as noted in our Mechanical Review video.

In the front boot, a Ferrari toolkit and Ferrari battery charger were present - the sale also includes a car cover and three key fobs (including the red one).

History and Paperwork

Just 2 former keepers, ~17 years ownership and under ~42,000 miles travelled - this example carries regular maintenance, a recent MOT, recent servicing and cambelt change.

The Rosso Corsa Red paint finish over a Crema leather interior is a truly classic look for the 360 and pairs perfectly. The Ferrari comes to market with a recent MOT, valid until 17th July 2025.

Featuring some lovely choice upgrades including; an upgraded Tubi sports exhaust, Challenge Stradale front bumper, Ferrari toolkit, Ferrari battery charger, car cover, and three key fobs (including the red one). Paul told us the Spider has mainly only been used in dry weather and has rarely been driven in the rain. For storage, the car has only ever been garaged.

We’ve done all our usual seller checks including photo ID, V5 and actioned a HPi check on the vehicle.

We've summarised our own view on the car based on information gained from the seller in the listing above, however, and as you can see, we go to great lengths to photograph and video the car in hi-resolution detail - this has been done for you to make your own assessment from the comfort of your sofa. So please sit back, have a cuppa and take your time to review everything on this listing in order to make your own assessment on the vehicle's condition. Viewings are also welcomed with all our listings, so please get in touch with us to arrange a suitable time - we just need to speak to you first and receive a valid photo ID before confirming.

If there's anything you're unsure about, no matter how small, then please first ask the owner in the comments area below before placing your bid/s, as bids can't be retracted and form a binding contract if you win the car - just like a traditional auction house.

Like I said Tim, you had 2 weeks to ask these and your questions started a day or more ago. You should have asked them all back then, or requested a viewing like others did. Adam

Ausjag, It’s great you’re interested in the car / bidding / but these are last minute questions that you should have really been asked a few days ago when you last commented – all paperwork has been photographed and I see reference to the clutch here:

Can you clarify the car’s accident history?
Can you confirm all advisories were done during each service?
Can you identify the brown mark on the bottom of the driver’s door frame, near the rubber. Is that rust?
is there a quote to replace the roof lining? Thanks Tim
