Introduction
Alan
Affordable, reliable, classic motoring with style - this Escort 1300 Super does it all.
The Ford Escort was branded as a small family car which was produced for 33 years, it was an incredibly popular choice with over 4.1 million cars sold worldwide - although sadly there are only 90 of these Supers still on the road today.
The Escort has worn many hats over the years from being an affordable road car to a highly competitive rally and race car.
This is the first generation and a "Super" variant that featured rectangular headlights, fitted carpets, cigar lighter, water temperature gauge and a 1.3L Crossflow Inline-4 engine.
This is a really lovely and genuine car that has been owned and meticulously cared for by Judith and Tim for the past 26 years.
This auction listing was written from information supplied by Alan after meeting Judith the owner, and having visited and photographed the vehicle.

Hi can you confirm the car has had no welding has all its original panels and paint if not you give details of work done regards Colin
Hi Colin. When we bought the car in 1995 we replaced the front wings, front panel, and both rear wheel arches. We also had the off side sill panel repaired. Looking at the documentation from the previous owner, in 1975 she had a new rear body panel welded in. Best wishes Judith

Hi what Service history do yo7 have ?
Is the mileage warranted please
Regards

Hi Steve. The car was serviced by a Ford Dealer up to and including the 21000 mile service in 2002 – we have the stamped service book. From that date, until 2017, we had the car checked over and any servicing/maintenance done prior to the annual MOT – because we have driven the car so very few miles, full Ford servicing each year seemed unjustified. The mileage is absolutely genuine, as evidenced by the MOT records. Best wishes Judith
Ps – we have kept documentation from everything that has ever been done to the car this all bears out the mileage as well. Hope that helps.
Hi
Yes thank you, love the car !
Best regards

Hi, (BIT OF A STRANGE REQUEST?) I AM THRILLED TO SEE ANOTHER 1300 SUPER, MINE IS ALSO A 1970 SUPER, RUF 33H. WAS ACTUALLY INTERESTED TO KNOW IF YOUR CAR IS TOTALY ORIGINAL AS MINE IS SLIGHTLEY DIFFERENT AND WONDERING IF THEY WERE ALSO SUPPLIED BY THE SAME DEALER (ENDEVOUR MOTORS BRIGHTON) HOPE YOU DON’T MIND ME ASKING. THANKS PAUL CATLING
Hi Paul. When we bought the car in 1995 we replaced the front wings, front panels and two rear wheel arches. The replacement panels we used were identical to the original panels and we kept the car looking exactly the same as it was when we bought it. The original owner had not modified the car in any way. So, we believe the car looks as it did when it came off the production line. We are very interested to hear that you also have a Super – we haven’t seen another one. Ours was supplied by Storrington Motors, so not far from Endeavour. My father worked for Endeavour – I remember it well! Best wishes Judith
