Introduction
Jacob Boodrie
A highly desirable performance saloon of the 1990s - this Sierra RS Cosworth 4X4 comes fresh to market from a 29 year ownership.
Fast Ford did what it did best tuning regular work-a-day saloons into rally and race winning machines attainable by most. The Sierra RS Cosworth 4X4 was designed to win races, with its turbocharged 2.0L 16 valve engine it produces around ~220bhp, driving all four wheels via a five-speed manual transmission. This particular example comes equipped with Lattice alloys, Recaro front seats and a trip-computer making it a stand-out car in its day.
This Cosworth is coming to market from ~29 years of ownership and comes with some history that details upkeep and maintenance of the mechanical aspects of the car. Presented in an attractive Flint Grey over black colourway, it's a lovely specification which gives this Sierra that extra appeal.
This listing was written from information supplied by Jacob after meeting Keith the owner, and having visited and photographed the vehicle.

***RESERVE REMOVED*** Dear all, Keith and Linda have made a big decision today to remove the reserve. So the car will be sold to the highest bidder this evening. Good luck, Adam TC
Sorry missed this one ,the only modifications we have made is to replace the exhaust with a stainless steel one. and up grade the immobiliser.
Asked with regards to mileage, as you already pointed out lots of history to back this up.
Yes the car is beautiful. Sorry but don’t know where your coming from , with regards engine rebuild. This car has
been cherished ever since bought some 29 years ago. The engine dose not burn any oil, and anything that has needed to be done has been carried out. The head has been refurbished and skimmed several years ago, and the receipts are there to back up.
I am only reluctantly selling this car due to my age of 82,. I am sure this engine will be good for thousands more miles as long as its looked after.
Apologies that someone has asked part of my previous question. Would also like to point out that it seems the Sierra has had lots to back up the mileage in terms of MOT’s etc but no real engine work apart from 1997 which is a concern.
Hi Keith. Car looks beautiful. I see it will inevitably need an engine rebuild at this mileage. Do you have any receipts to support any modifications that might have taken place?
Thanks. Ashley
Hi Keith
Can you tell me if the engine has had any major work or a rebuild.
The video on startup in the garage sounds like some sort of air leaking and the engine is trying to stall and on the video reversing out the garage it sounds like it’s running in 3 cylinders can you advise if this is sorted or is it like this on startup only
Many thanks
I believe what you can hear on Start up, is a plug in rodent deterrent. Which makes a high pitch whistle sound. Sorry we should have removed it. Jacob did mention this in the comments but thought it was a deterrent to keep our cats out the garage.
With regards to the engine. The injectecors were leaking. So we have had them removed and sent away to be reconditioned quite recently. No rebuild. Just work carried out when needed. We also have just had the Starter motor refurbished back in April. Other than that no problems as it states in the comments all sounds and running well. Hope this answers your question.
