Introduction
Alan Stuart
Elegance, class, and stacks of history, this restored Mk2 Jaguar has everything you'd ever want.
The Jaguar MK1 was a huge success, and the MK2 built on that. A larger 3.4L or 3.8L engine option was now offered, with a luxurious cabin and serious performance on the track, no other saloon came close to matching what Jaguar created.
With performance to rival the E-Type, the MK2 became synonymous with getaway drivers of the 60s, the 3.4L smaller engine being chosen too as a sweet spot with performance still there for a speedy exit. Arguably the first super saloon, most examples focus on the luxury the cars offer like this example, but you'll still see Mk2's involved in historic racing to this day.
This example is coming to market from ~7.5 years of ownership, with 7 former keepers and importantly a fully documented history to corroborate the ~88,000 miles. A UK supplied RHD, it is lucky to have had careful ownership over the past 59 years, and more recently has had a complete overhaul of the mechanics and an expert interior refurbishment to bring the car to an excellent level, you will not be disappointed with this beautiful Mk2. Recently serviced, it's ready for the new owner to enjoy.

Hello Simon, why are so many areas of the receipts
blanked off and what is leaking near the steering rack?
Thank you
Hi nez70,
I’ll leave Simon to answer the question on what you’re observing with regards the steering, but to answer the question on paperwork, we blank out the personal information of the current and previous owners before we publish the history file of a car we are auctioning to secure personal information.
