Introduction
Matt Nolan
The last of the old-school Jaguars, they have a huge cult following and the stock of the XJS has been rising steadily over time.
Development for the XJS started in the late 60’s and, when it became available in 1975, a 21-year production run began that made it Jaguars longest running model. As the successor to the E-Type the XJ-S had a tough act to follow but Jaguar didn’t play safe, using aerodynamicist Malcolm Sayer to pen the initial design. One of the first designers to apply aerodynamic principles to mainstream production cars, Sayer died tragically in 1970 and the design mantle was picked up by Jaguars in house team.
The car was launched with a 3.6-litre six-cylinder engine before Jaguar announced the 5.3L V12 in 1985; outputting impressive figures of ~291BHP.
This car comes fresh to auction from a collection of Jaguars, and having been in family for the past ~25 years. It's finished in a rare period colour of "Coronet Gold" with black leather interior,
This auction listing was written from information supplied by Matt after meeting Daniel the owner, and having visited and photographed the vehicle.

Please see Mot//Service History. The car had a full service in December 2020 and a Lube Service in November 2021 by a Jaguar Specialist. As you will see from the Video, the jacking points are good. Please remember the car is 40 years old next year.
Can you confirm the coolant has been changed regularly and that the fluids are as they should be ie coolant blue in colour, power steering fluid red, engine oil honey…..
Also are the jacking points solid with no rust?
Thankyou
Hi, have you done anything to the exhausts? Maybe it’s just the video but I’ve never know the Jag V12 to be that noisy. It seems you are based around South Wales, I’m in Cardiff, can I see the car please?
Hi. Viewings must be arranged via Trade Classics. I agree with you the Video made the car sound twice as noisy as it does.
