Introduction
Glyn Parry
Combining a glorious V12 with legendary Jaguar opulence - the XJS is a stately, refined, and charismatic tourer.
As the successor to the E-Type, the XJS had a tough act to follow. However, Jaguar didn’t shy away from innovation and used Malcolm Sayer, one of the first designers to apply aerodynamic principles to mainstream production cars, to put together the initial design. Sayer, died tragically in 1970 and the design mantle was picked up by Jaguars in house team. The V12 XJ-S was launched in 1975, starting a 21-year production run began that made it Jaguars longest running model. The V12 XJ-S characterises the Jaguar brand perfectly. It’s powerful, stylish, beautifully engineered, and unapologetically luxurious.
This 1990 convertible is presented in stunning "Signal Red" over a beautiful ivory leather interior. Having been with current owner since 2013, the car has been well looked after and has covered fewer than ~5,000 miles that time. In great condition all round, good history and only just over ~51,000 miles on the clock, this a great example of the XJS.

I WANT ONEAsk Questions
Hi, the main history is until 2011 I think, do you have receipts or history for any further servicing, even if you’ve done it yourself? Thanks
Hi, yes the car has been serviced at a garage during the time i have owned it, i did not add this to the listing as I cannot find the paperwork. I bought the car as the result of reading the Sunday Times best cars to buy as an investment and in ten years i have covered 5,000 miles which really amounts to its regular short drive and rotate the wheels, trip to MOT station and an annual road trip around Wales or Northumberland. I have never had to have any major work done to the car except extended service which included normal service items plus new rotor, cap and leads
