Introduction
Colin Bashford
The XJR-S was the ultimate version of the XJS, it was a joint venture between Jaguar and Tom Walkinshaw Racing (TWR).
Fitted with a 6.0L V12 producing ~333bhp, giving the XJR-S a top speed of ~160mph. The R-S gets more aggressive styling with an added bodykit including a spoiler. It also received a unique set of alloy wheels, the suspension was also upgraded. Only ~837 XJR-S were built between 1988-1993, making it a very rare car.
This particular car comes to market after ~16 years of ownership. Finished in "Flamenco Red" with cream leather interior, in 2005 the car had some major work carried out with brakes being changed, the rear suspension was taken off and renewed and new exhaust fitted. It's just been given a service and fresh MOT actioned, ready for a new owner to improve and enjoy, the reserve reflecting the equity in the car.
This auction listing was written from information supplied by Colin after meeting Austen the owner, and having visited and photographed the vehicle.

The previous MOTs indicate there was heavy corrosion to the sub frames then subsequently noted a lot of underseal, can it be clarified if the sub frame has been welded or brushed off and undersealed?
Hi, if you have a look at photos of some of the previous invoices, there’s one from Lorimer & Findlay, a Jaguar and Porsche specialist, who replaced the front sub frame with an excellent second hand one, as new ones weren’t available. The car also recently had new floor panels fitted, hence the undersealing. I’m actually disappointed that MOT tester mentioned the undersealing. It genuinely is there for protection, rather than hiding anything. Cars underside is excellent. Thank you.
