Introduction
Paul Wright
With a powerful 4.0 litre, V8 engine and also a convertible - it could quite possibly be the perfect grand tourer?
These elegant, Fergus Pollock styled cars were first introduced at the Geneva motor show in 1996. Available in both convertible and coupe form, they were warmly received by the public and ultimately over 90,000 were sold, mainly to the UK and US markets. A worthy successor to the XJS, the XK8 pioneered Jaguar's first homegrown V8. Previous V8 Jaguar offerings had, very successfully, utilised a Daimler unit. However, this new engine was highly innovative and featured 32 valves, variable valve timing and a power output of ~290BHP.
True to its Jaguar pedigree the XK8 looks every inch the feline predator with more than a hint of E-type heritage. Sharing a platform with the Aston Martin DB7, it’s a beautiful, luxurious, powerful sports car capable of delivering an engaging, communicative and exhilarating driving experience.
This lovely 1997 Jaguar XK8 was purchased from a client in 2017 when it had been owned by the same keeper for the past 18 years. Presented in a beautiful combination of "Sapphire Blue" with "Oatmeal" leather interior, just 3 former keepers registered, and serviced in May 2022, this car is ready for the summer.

Regards,

Hi David
When in August would you looking to collect ,if your bid is successful ?
Hello, thank you for answering my message I plan on arriving on the 16th which is a Tuesday I would contact you asap regarding my plans I would like to pick it up within a week of my arrival if that would suit you. I plan on driving it for a few weeks prior to shipping it back to Australia so I will need to register and insure it for that period. Any advise you have would be appreciated.
Regards,
David.
Hi David,
If you are successful we would be able to store the car until 20th August at the very latest.
So long as all terms are met and payment is received in full in the allotted time ,as per your agreement with Classic Cars. We will keep it insured until that date and taxed. You will have to sort the insurance yourself from the day of the collection. This deal is for you only.
Many thanks
Linda & Simon
