Hi is there an invoice to show that the touch screen has been replaced, expensive fix as Guy Salmon quoted £1645 to repair.
Hi there, how often has this (beautiful) car been taken out over the last few years and for what kind of driving? For example 1 or 2 longer trips per year along motorways etc or several smaller to the shops throughout the year? And what kind of driving – often extremely low mileage cars have seals and other rubber and plastic parts which deteriorate and will only manifest issues once the car is started to be used more frequently. Same with the gearbox – if it’s been used primarily for first, second and third gear instead of the whole range of gears, there might be potential future issues. These kinds of things aren’t picked up in routine servicing as they haven’t actually failed yet and are therefore hidden. Thanks

Hi kulrah, thanks for your speedy response. The air con problem is a common issue with early XK’s. Jaguar main dealers were given a max charge for such a minor job, but still not cheap as you can imagine with taking the whole dash requiring removal. Well documented on Jaguar forums. Regards.
Hi again, why did both nearside wheels require straightening?? in May this year by Guy Salmon? If buckled, surely they should of replaced them?
Hi Martin, the wheel is something we recommended the seller got fixed before sale. It’s just been an advisory, and not noticeable to the sellers so they hadn’t actioned it before. Advisories of course do not have to be acted on. Hope that helps! Best, Kulraj
Hi there, could you please advise as to whether there are any air con problems with the Jaguar.. XK’s upto 2009 had a common problem with the drain from the air con plenum blocking up. To clear this pipe the whole of the dash has to come out as it’s not possible to clear it beneath the car as it’s obscured by the auto box. If there is a problem the passenger carpet becomes soaked. Hi Martin, no errors in the air-conditioned flagged from the sellers but we will check. I have a feeling it is the kind of thing that the main dealer might have picked up too given that they recommended the screen was replaced etc, and the car has been back to them ever year.

Hi Tony, Brenda has sent through photographs of the service book, 13 stamps in total – one every year. These have been added to the history section now so that you can see how it corresponds to the MOT mileage too. With regards the door card, a small scratch on the underside leather where something has caught in the door. Best, Kulraj

Hi there, the description of the wheels state ‘ like the rest of the car the wheels are in excellent condition’ however on viewing the photos the front passenger side shows some serious kerbing and the rear passenger also shows some kerbing. Please advise if these have been repaired or as per photos (and not as described)
Also can you advise if the car has had any damage repair or paint work carried out.
Are there any oil / fluid leaks ?
