We're known for bringing you the best and this is no exception - here's an investor quality XK that may be one of the lowest miles examples out there.

The second and final generation of XK (X150) debuted in 2005 at the Frankfurt Motor Show, styled by Jaguar's chief designer Ian Callum. The grille was designed as a nod to the E-Type. The car was the first to feature a bonded and riveted aluminum chassis and body panels, therefore a lighter than its predecessor(91kg lighter to be precise).

This particular example is being sold by Howard, he was lucky to be able to purchase the car from the Managing Director of a company that the original owner's husband owned, due to them moving abroad. The car has covered just over 6k miles in since new. We're sure you agree this is an incredible find, and based on history. you can only assume will continue to appreciate in value.

I just had to buy this XK - it's a never to be repeated opportunity to own one of, if not the best, examples of this fantastic model.

Like us, Howard is a car fanatic and he just loves his cars, in fact he has another XK that he uses as his 'daily' car - you could say he's a Jaguar man.

Howard was lucky enough to be in the right place at the right time and had the opportunity to buy this fantastic XK with investor quality miles and history.

Just stunning - it doesn't get much better than this - a fantastic car that's in need a good long-term home and warm garage to protect its value.

Wheels and Tyres

The wheels present in excellent original condition - please review the images and videos to see for yourself.

The car is fitted with Dunlop tyres and looking at the images you'll see 2006 date stamp - they are generally in good condition, however, they are coming up to 16 years old now and show signs of imperfections. It's important these tyres are preserved to protect the history of the car, however, if you are planning to drive the car regularly then you may want to think about fitting a new set - but we advise to keep these in storage.

Bodywork

The bodywork looks excellent as you'll see in the images and videos.

The panel gaps look consistent across the car and we didn't notice any significant issues to mention here.

Like all our cars, we go to great lengths to photograph and video the bodywork and paint for you to make your own assessment - please make sure you take advantage of that effort by studying in detail - especially on a car so special as this.

Paint

The condition looks excellent and certainly in line with the mileage on the clock.

It's a stunning colour that changes in light reflections from looking true silver to then having a blue hue. However, making it quite tricky to photograph. Please watch the 'External' video to see a high-res 360 degree video to assess the paint properly, as the camera moves around the car.

Glass and Trim

Again when looking across the car we didn't notice any issues to point out - the images and videos show all the trim and glass in detail, and you can zoom in on the high-resolution pictures.

Interior

The nearest you'll get to feeling like your in a Jaguar showroom back in 2006, considering your next new purchase.

Seats and Carpets

As you'd expect - both are in excellent condition with little wear to speak of. The leather is largely unmarked and uncreased - they really do give you that 'as new' feeling that you'd expect with such a low mileage car.

Dashboard

We think the silver inserts in the dash and door cards are the right option for this car. They give the interior a lighter and more modern feel when compared to their wooden counterparts.

In terms of condition, nothing to point out except please take time to look at the media file to see all angles.

Steering Wheel / Gear Stick

Arguably one of the biggest clues to a car's mileage comes in these two items - both are really like new with very little wear or shine, i.e. indicating the mileage is in line with that displayed.

Mechanics

The beating heart of this rare collectors' car is the robust and beautiful V8 - one of Jaguar's finest moments.

Engine and Gearbox

The car has a good level of service history showing how well the engine has been cared for, even though it's hardly been used during all those years.

Howard assures us that both the engine and gearbox perform as you'd expect, i.e. no issues.

Suspension and Brakes

Again, not much to say here as the car is likely to have all its original components - we've taken a thorough video of the underside for you to assess the condition and originality for yourself.

The Drive

Jaguar got it right with these XKs - a great looking car that also drives fantastically well - the thinking persons' GT car.

Electrics and Other

All the buttons show very little sign of any wear - even the starter button.

Howard informs us the car has no electrical issues and everything works as you'd expect.

We filmed the hood going up and down with no issues, as you can see in the videos.

History and Paperwork

Even though this car has been hardly used, the previous owner ensured it was maintained well and there's an excellent amount of history that backs up the mileage of this car.

So in conclusion this is a very rare car and really suited to a collector that will continue to preserve it , its mileage and of course its history.

This cherished Jaguar was purchased from Stratstone Jaguar in Cardiff in September 2006 as a present. The history shows that its entire servicing and its MOTs has been carried out by the supplying dealer throughout its life - a rare and important benefit making it a real collectors' car.

This car is perhaps a long term investment, and when you look at past Jaguar models with ultra low mileage and provenance, then it should do exceptionally well over time. We think we'll all be kicking ourselves that we had the opportunity of this car in a few years time.

We've done all our usual checks on the seller, V5 (in the original owner's name, so the next registered keeper will be #2) and it's HPi clear.
