Introduction
Darren Rungasamy
A grand tourer in every sense, the XKR is the near-perfect toy for those long distance jaunts.
Recognised as one the best grand touring cars of its generation, it's a talent that still shines through. The styling has aged well, still looking fresh and modern but the secret to the XKR is the intoxicating silky smooth V8. Replacing the previous generation in 2007, the X150 series capitalised on its success with a notable emphasis on state-of-the-art technology. Its bonded and riveted aluminium chassis and weight-saving canvas roof, not only kept the car agile but is immensely strong too.
Add in the ~420BHP supercharged engine, with its Jaguar "Sequential Shift" and famous J-gate gear selector, you have the right ingredients for a British-made all-time great. Hands down there is very little today, for the money, that offers the same perfect balance of heritage, style and power.
First registered in late 2007, this exceptionally well-maintained convertible finished in black with ivory leather interior has just ~43,625 miles on the clock, has had 11 service stamps and comes with an MOT to July 2024 and two keys.

Hi Tom, I’m interested in bidding. I’d be coming from Northern Ireland, is cash on collection ok?
Hi. A bank transfer would be better but if it has to be cash then ok. Cheers.
Have all / any of the items mentioned in the current MOT been rectified, if so which items?
Hi. It failed an MOT on 29/6/23 on both rear brake hoses being corroded, and nothing else. The garage remarked the car was immaculate with the exception of the brake hoses. The garage that did the MOT was unable to do the work needed, so I took it to my Jaguar specialist and asked them to rectify this. They put it through an MOT on 31/7 before commencing work, and these other items were picked up by the different MOT station. My specialist said that they were being very overly critical, and that there was nothing of concern. The brakes have subsequently been done, as were the rear flexi hoses, and they said nothing else needed doing.
You are very welcome to come and inspect the car yourself.
Thanks
Tom
