Luxury sporting appeal, stunning looks, and a V6 punch, Jaguar nailed it with the F-Type.

There is a romanticism connected to the words "Jaguar" and "Sports car", something that Browns Lane mastered from the very start. Furthermore, the reputation for luxury as well as mechanical durability and design elegance have forever been connected with the brand. However Jaguar had found themselves in a bit of a bind in the early 2010’s, and while Jaguar dealers were full of confident and powerful touring cars, those looking for raw driving thrills had to look elsewhere... Enter the F-Type. It is exactly what you would expect a Jaguar to be, poised, graceful, well screwed together and more importantly a hoot to drive. Kind of pitched in between a top-end sports and an entry-level supercar, the F-Type didn’t lean on its heritage as previous models might have, with only the name evoking its past. With an intimate driver-focused cabin complemented by lavish materials, the Jaguar's sights were firmly fixed on the German opposition. True to form, it was mission accomplished and the F-Type heralded the start of a new chapter for Jaguar.

This impressively equipped 2013 F-Type V6 S finished in "Polaris White" with a contrasting "Black Pack" trim package and 20” Tornado wheels, also has the £1,200 optional performance seats, premium leather option, parking aid cameras and keyless entry/start. Furthermore, it has only seen ~16,813 miles over its lifetime.

I was persuaded by the impressive specifications and the ultra-low mileage of this car.

A self-confessed petrol-head, the F-Type is the latest in a long line of desirable cars Michael has been lucky enough to have owned. Buying the car from a high-end luxury car dealer, he's had it for ~2 years and 5 months, the remarkably low mileage when he bought it in 2021 sealed the deal.

However, he was not afraid to enjoy the car but to his credit has only added around 8,000 miles since then. A recent relocation followed up by the need to free up some capital to help renovate his new house, Michael has reluctantly decided to sell this gleaming example for someone else to enjoy.

Exterior

A near-faultless exterior presentation sets an impressive precedence for this car.

Wheels and Tyres

The car is fitted with a set of distinctive 20" black Tornado alloys to match the "Black Pack", all of which are in very good condition with the lightest oxidation noted on the rims.

The Pirelli P-Zero tyres have plenty of even thread, with the rear items both being recent fittings. Take a look through the images to see the detail.

Bodywork

There's not any issues to mark down the exterior and structural aspects of the car, with the floor pan, sills, and inner wings all looking solid. The exterior metalwork is intact throughout, with no signs of blemishes. The doors open and close with ease, and the panel fit is factory-fresh with even panel gaps.

Paint

The "Polaris White" paintwork is in excellent shape, with a good lustre and an even coverage. There is an odd minor mark in places but overall, it is presented very positively.

Glass and Trim

The bumpers are well-mounted and free of blemishes. No significant issues were observed with the condition of the glass, headlamps, lenses or dealer option "Black Pack" trim.

Interior

Lashings of leather, the premium interior option adds a sumptuous element to the driver focused layout.

Seats and Carpets

The car is fitted with the "Performance" heated seats option, with premium leather seat facings to complement the "Leather Premium Interior" option. Aside from the lightest of bolster wear noted on the driver's seat, there are no issues with their presentation.

The carpets and mats are also part of the premium package, all are in very good shape with nothing more than residual dirt noted.

Dashboard

The dashboard is in excellent order, with no significant marks or issues to distract. All of the functions are said to work.

The door cards and headlining are in excellent shape with no outstanding marks.

Steering Wheel / Gear Stick

The multifunction steering wheel and automatic gear selector are neatly presented with very little in terms of wear. The car features burnt orange gear selection paddles behind the steering wheel, a matching colour to the "Start/Stop" button and a nice contrast break to the colour scheme.

Mechanics

The V6 S has an impressive grunt, and is only bettered by the total reliability of the car.

Engine and Gearbox

The engine is very neatly presented, which bodes well for the cold start video. There were no issues with the engine as it was fired up, with it settling into a smooth idle and no warning lights flagged on the dashboard.

No issues have been reported in terms of the gearbox function.

Suspension and Brakes

No unwanted noises were heard from the suspension on the bumpy track leading onto the main road, where it remained compliant as we made progress on the smoother surfaces.

The brakes were free of any issues, stopping the car effectively without any drama.

The Drive

The car felt reassuringly able on the roads, with razor-sharp steering and plenty of feedback. The ride was firm but free of thuds or rattles over the uneven surfaces, as Michael conducted the car along the built-up roads. A brutally quick car, its agility is only matched by its relaxed demeanour, once you settle at cruising speed.

Those worried about the possible noise generated by the bigger 20" wheels shouldn't worry, as the adaptive suspension deals with it without any loss of comfort. However, if noise is your thing, then you'll find the switchable active sports exhaust irresistible.

The car has been ultra-reliable, with no reports of oil pressure or engine temperature issues.

Electrics and Other

The roof operation is seamless and executed its actions without any problems. The hood is in excellent condition, with very little evidence of any outdoor elements.

The car is also fitted with dealer-specified red seat belts, a visibility pack and a wind deflector.

History and Paperwork

A low mileage example of the V6 S, coming fully loaded with options and presented in excellent condition.

This fully spec'd car was initially used as a prize car and displayed at various UK airports. It only saw any meaningful use after the car was 5 years old when it was then obtained and only used on a very occasional basis by the wife of the head of a corporation. It was sold to the current owner in the summer of 2021 with not much more than 6,000 miles on the clock. Aside from one service and a handful of MOTs, the car has not needed any visits to the garage.

It comes with its original sales invoice, last sales invoice, previous MOTs, and two keys and has an MOT to May 2024.

We’ve done all our usual seller checks including photo ID, V5 and also actioned an HPI check on the vehicle.
