Introduction
Alan Stuart
Historic classic meets 21st century with a wealth of upgrades and overhauled originality.
A beautiful classic that has had a host of improvements added to this historic vehicle. With several commissioned works the Range Rover has really been bought back to the 21st century with its upgrades, the car has had a full engine rebuild with a high compression 3.5 V8 engine and a manual gearbox with overdrive fitted in 2019 at a cost of ~£5,500 by a well known Land Rover specialist.
Not only that but, the Classic Suffix A has benefitted from a full service, brake overhaul, new John Craddock suspension kit (lowering the height of the car by 1 inch and replacing the old progressive road springs). New, original wheels were also added with 245/70/16 General Grabber AT tyres fitted.
The interior was re-trimmed, new carpets installed, front and rear seats updated and later model headrests added. The interior treatment was completed by Exmoor trim, and finished in Range Rover herringbone cloth. Finally, the bodywork was refurbished along with the bumpers, trims at a cost of ~£12,650.
All the subtle work has kept the desired originality, but also transforms the Range Rover into a real period classic right up to speed with modern day touches.

Hi, do you trade as Winsford Classic Cars and if so, was this Range Rover repaired by yourself?
Hi Andrew. Lovely looking Range Rover. Is there anyway you can validate the supplied invoices from Winsford Classics. It does seem like a poorly constructed invoice and is of course missing the VAT element. I see that the ‘motor trade’ section of the V5 is missing and that Winsford Classics is currently run by a director by the name of Andrew. Can you confirm if this is a private sale? Do you only have the history and paperwork supplied with the advert? Do you happen to have any images on file of when the body was returned to bare metal prior to painting? Thanks in advance
Hi, does the car have air con? If not, do the heating and windscreen demist work well?
Thank you for your question. The car hasn’t been fitted with air con, I can say, that I spent 5 1/2 hours driving the Range Rover from Somerset and all the heating demist, controls, etc work perfectly. Regards Andrew
Andrew, nice job sir. The engine is a replacement or original? Thanks
Thank you for your question. It’s not the original it’s a high compression 3.5 V8 with later carbs, heads, etc, pulls really well through all the gears. Regards Andrew
Nice but lack the provenance. Still a great vehicle.
As the previous person asked is the mileage genuine. I will be bidding as soon as you reply.
Thank you for your question. As we do not have the paperwork for the car from new, I cannot guarantee the mileage. Kind regards Andrew
Hi Andrew, a lovely vehicle from what I can see online – for 50 years old, has the vehicle only covered 37000 miles? Seems incredibly low! Is this a genuine mileage?
Brian
Dear Brian, thank you for your question. As we do not have the paperwork for the car from new, I cannot guarantee the mileage. Kind regards Andrew
