Introduction
Glyn Parry
A beautiful and iconic facelift overseen by Range Rover designers, the Series III continued to sell on every corner of the globe.
The Series III was first introduced to the world in 1971, and carried over from the Series 2 and 2a with a fresh face-lift. It featured a fully synchromesh four-speed gearbox, front-mounted headlights, stylish plastic grille and various mechanical improvements over its predecessors. These classic Land Rovers quickly gained a worldwide reputation for ruggedness and versatility, they were used for both emergency services and for military purposes.
This Series III 109 Truck Cab has seen a restoration, building the car from the chassis up, painting and wax-oiling underneath, as well as attending to any previous corrosion around the car. The restoration has taken around 3 years, and the result is this highly usable and practical classic, ideal for use on farms and around the countryside, not to mention it's now both MOT and Road Tax exempt.
This auction listing was written from information supplied by Glyn after meeting Steve the owner, and having visited and photographed the vehicle.
