The new owner is blessed with a 4.2L V8 that sounds beautifully poetic. Ollie found a little trick in making the gear changes feel better – please watch the ‘On the Road’ video as Ollie puts the 4200 engine and gears to the test. As we drive down the lanes you start to hear that ‘roar’ from the engine and it is quite something. A new clutch and F1 pump have been added 6,000 miles ago.

There were no knocks or rattles on our drive out with Ollie. The brakes work just as expected with the steering staying true. It has firm suspension but not uncomfortable.

The car really drives great. Darren and Ollie had a lot of fun when winding through the country roads. Darren says this is the car for those ‘Sunday morning drives’ and we can’t disagree with that.

Some modern features are included such as heated memory seats and bluetooth music and telephone connectivity. Ollie assures us all electrics work as expected such as the air-con and the backlit clock that usually deteriorates. In the ‘interior review’ video, Darren tests a lot of the electrics within the vehicle. Ollie mentions the fuel filler cap release does not always reset when cold. The heater matrix was replaced a year ago which tends to be an inevitable job on such models.
