Introduction
Jacob Boodrie
The late model of the timeless compact classic - one of the most famous cars of its time; the Rover Mini Cooper.
The car that was built for the people, a car that is extremely versatile and practical for day-to-day motoring while being able to deliver in racing with its go-cart-like handling. From launch, the Mini was a huge success, 5.4 million Minis were bought over the 41 years of production, and it still remains the best-selling British car of all time.
This Rover example was produced in 1998 making it a Mark VII, the final version of the car with twin-point injection with a front-mounted radiator. A full-width dashboard replaced the original shelf, an internal bonnet release was added as well as an airbag.
This example has been owned by Nicola for the previous 6 years, it was fully restored by her partner at the time, to a meticulous standard - extensive work was carried out to the exterior and mechanics.
This auction listing was written from information supplied by Jacob after meeting Nicola the owner, and having visited and photographed the vehicle.

Why has it done so few miles in the past three years and why are you selling?
Hi
Its been sat around in my garage and restoration in between the years. It only went out a few times a year between restoration my Ex Partner use to drive the mini. I can’t drive it because I find the clutch and steering to heavy for me. Selling because partner and I have broken up and now want space in my garage back.
Many thanks
Nicola
Hi Nicola, I notice from the interior pics that there is no vinyl covering to the rear drivers side wheel arch. Do you have the covering for fixing back in, or is it miossing?
Hi Basil sorry no I don’t have the covering!! its my ex partner who did the Mini up for me and he and a friend did most of the work. There was cushion’s in the back seat until day before Photo’s was taken. I wasn’t very pleased to see wasn’t there and didn’t have time to source a replacement. Sorry hope this wouldn’t put you off bidding for the mini.
Thank You
Nicola

Hi Nicola,
I have a few questions for you.
Did you use heritage panels during the restoration?
Have you replaced any rubber fuel pipes to account for E10 fuel?
Did you change the final drive ratio when the gearbox was rebuilt?
Do you have two sets of keys?
Kind regards
Rob
Hello Rob
Panels not Heritage Just Standard
Fuel Lines is no as E10 wasn’t around when work was being done. Any way you don’t see people changing there Fuel lines at present I haven’t in my car.
No didn’t change final drive its a 3-0-1 ratio rebuilt with new 2nd gear and synchro’s
Yes has two keys thought they be in the pictures but will check.
