Introduction
Dom Ginn
Many consider the 911 Carrera (3.2) peak air-cooled Porsche, the last iteration of the G-body cars.
By the early '80s, Porsche was at a crossroads with the 911's future. Earmarked for deletion, a change of heart and a revival of the Carrera name proved to be a turning point for the 911. Offered with three body shapes, a Coupe, a Targa and a Cabriolet, all sporting a new 3.2-litre engine with numerous upgrades. Yuppies were overjoyed and took to the re-invigorated 911 in their droves and secured its place in 1980's social history.
This example is coming out of 25 years family ownership, in the desirable coupe form and a later car with the G50 5 speed gearbox. Finished in "Diamond Blue Metallic" (L697) with a two tone leather finish to the interior. This car was also optioned from factory with sports seats, and the dealer only options for 16" fuchs and sports shocks. Coming with a history file that shows regular servicing over the ownership, this is a great example ready to be driven.

Hi Dan
Having a quick look do you think the car would look better with the headlining replaced, it’s a little difficult to see from the pictures. Rgds graham.
Hi Graham I think the headlining is OK, I would say maybe just a fresh interior deep clean, I had a full valet on it but every owner will have their own levels of satisfaction I guess. The colour of the lining matches the carpets so I’d personally keep it. Maybe just get another deep clean. I personally think it adds to the character of the car, but I know some will want to replace it all and restore it to new. Each to their own I guess.
Thanks for the interest
Dan
Hi Dan,
In the video, it looks like the front driver tyre is badly damaged with a chunk missing and a nasty looking split.
I can see it only recently received an MOT but would it be safe to drive away.
Thanks
Hi
To be honest I have not checked it since the photos and it is back under the covers. When I get back in from work I will have a look, but yes it only has just received a fresh MOT with no advisories so should be fine to drive away.
Thanks
Dan
Hi, I have had a look at it this morning whilst turning it over and I can not see any big chunk out of the front tyres. It may have just been the angle on the video.
Thanks
Does it come with it’s original Fush Alloys?
Hi drewg, no the originals are not present, as mentioned in the write-up Dans dad swapped them out for the modern wheels early in his ownership. Best, Kulraj – Trade Classics
