Introduction
Paul Wright
The best of the 944s, the S2 boasts a robust 3.0-litre engine, revised transmission, and wide styling, topped off with an electric convertible roof.
The 944 was first announced in 1982. It was a new front-engine, rear-wheel-drive, mid-level sports car based on the 924. Later, in 1989, Porsche introduced the S2, which shared the rounded nose and rear valance found on the Turbo model and featured the largest production 4-cylinder engine available at the time. A new gearbox was fitted to harness the ~208 BHP on offer and in manual form, like this example, it’s a proper drivers' car.
Coming from ~5 years of ownership with our vendor, this stunning 1990 944 S2 Cabriolet will most definitely create a stir in the market! With just ~11,967 miles covered, this is more than likely one of the lowest mileage and original 944s offered for sale at this moment in time, making it an ideal investment opportunity for any collector, or Porsche fan looking for something very special.
The 944 comes with a current MOT valid until 27.10.2025.
