The 944 was first announced in 1982. It was a new front-engine, rear-wheel-drive, mid-level sports car based on the 924. Later, in 1989, Porsche introduced the S2, which shared the rounded nose and rear valance found on the Turbo model and featured the largest production 4-cylinder engine available at the time. A new gearbox was fitted to harness the ~208 BHP on offer and in manual form, like this example, it’s a proper drivers' car.

Hi, I assume the tyres are very old and need replacing, if so, would you know the date codes? Also, would you know when the last cambelt and idler were last changed?
The tyres are actually in good condition.

The last M.O.T. advises n/s and offside play in wheel bearings. Have the bearings been replaced?
