Introduction
Issac Wass
The 964 offers the perfect compromise between classic air-cooled function and a modern day driving experience.
Referred to as the 964 series, it was a natural evolution over its predecessor and despite similar visual cues, it was a considerable update that combined the character of the original with a modernised ‘90s acceptability. This included the shift over to coil springs and the notable addition of ABS. Options included the Tiptronic automatic transmission, like the one on sale here, and all-wheel drive for the first time. Its main feature, asides from the all-new bodywork and overhauled interior, was the new air-cooled engines. As a result, it’s often said that the 964 offers the perfect compromise between old and new Porsche.
All models are great to drive and boast the classic styling, which is why the demand for these cars becomes stronger which each passing year.
This particular example is coming to market fresh out of a 11 year ownership, in a popular colourways and with a good amount of history.

I WANT ONEAsk Questions
Thanks for the enquiry. As far as I am aware the car has not been in any accidents and there is nothing in the old paperwork to make me think to the contrary. I had a good relationship with Specialist Cars at Malton who I bought the car from and who serviced it for me for nine of the eleven years of my ownership, they never intermated that it might have been in an accident. The last service was by Sam Lander who originally worked for them, he also never suggested there had been a problem.
I have tried to keep on top of any any body/paint work in small areas, the last being the top corner of the driver’s side wing near the windscreen, which was also replaced at the same time (showed small signs of delaminating)
I have checked the video – the door was not shut properly! Also been outside to double check it is a very neat fit
Hope that helps
Excellent, many thanks for the reply.
Hi David,
Has the car ever had any body work done, or been in any accidents?
some of the panel gaps watching the video look a bit odd… but perhaps that’s the video…? the driver’s door in the video doesn’t appear to close flush… could you confirm all ok..?
thanks
JP
Good afternoon
I would just like to know if the engine has any oil leaks or if you think that at 100,000miles it may require attention?
Thank you
Thanks for the enquiry. There have not been any oil leaks in my ownership at all – a clean garage floor!
Neither have I any reason to think it will need attention at 100k
Thank you for the prompt response much appreciated
