Becoming more desirable with every passing year, the 996 Carrera 4 is quickly finding its home in the modern classic market.
Launched in 1997, the Porsche 996 Carrera 4 was designed as a sports grand tourer, but it was also comfortable and reliable enough to be used as a daily driver. Upon the launch, the 996 rocked Porsche fans around the world with its new front end design and smooth sides without the larger wheel arches that people were used to with a 911. Four years later in 2002 Porsche released a facelifted model - keeping the die-hard Porsche owners happy with its return to a more distinctive 911 front end.
This particular example is a pre-facelift car and has been in the care of current owner for the past ~19 months, during which the car has spent the majority of its life in a dry storage unit. Over 8 previous owners this 911 has covered just ~60,200 miles and boasts a stamped service book, and looks lovely in the not often seen on a 996 "Seal Grey" paint over blue leather interior.
This listing was written from information supplied by Isaac after meeting Wayne the owner, and having visited and photographed the vehicle.

Hello, I imagine at this mileage that the clutch is still original but can you please let me know if it has been replaced or feels like it might need doing? Any other major works known of? Thanks. J
Hello JJ,
As described in my previous answer the clutch was replaced in 2005 which I was lead to believe was in order to upgrade the IMS bearing. The car has no mechanical issues and has been well serviced over the years.
Hi Wayne, could comment on any work conducted on the engine? IMS replacement? Clutch?
Hello Paul, sorry for the delay we have been away for Easter.
So the car has been serviced regularly and when I bought it I was told that the clutch had been replaced at Porsche Sheffield, Meadowhall. The date in the book is 06/12/2005 but it does not give a detailed description of what actually was done, the garage owner I bought it from did say that the IMS would have been upgraded then but I have not got that in writing. The car drives faultless with no weird noises. I actually called the Dealers to check but they could not give me any more info than what is stated in the service book at the time but did confirm it had been in there for a new clutch. Hope this helps. Wayne.
