This example has been well looked after throughout various ownerships over the years, and the condition you see the car in today is a testament to this. The new owner of this car will be making a very speedy getaway indeed.

"I'm a bit of a “Porsche guy”, having been lucky enough to own a number of the marque's car over the years."

This particular car took him a very long time to find and settle on. He went through some 40 cars before choosing this example. “Lot’s of 996’s are neglected that you’ll find for sale” Kevin said, and finding an example that had been well looked after, serviced regularly, and fighting fit was his main criteria. Having spent a long time finding the car, Kevin’s intention was to keep the car as a long term investment whilst also enjoying it.

So why the sale now… Kevin is in the process of buying a holiday home, and so needs to free up some capital for the purchase. On top of this, he isn’t driving at the minute, and having a 930 as a long term investment, along with the plan with the 996 just isn’t viable, and with that the car has come to us for sale.

Exterior

Finished in the Porsche colour of Seal Grey, the car looks really smart. You can tell it has been well looked after over the years, things like the headlights dazzling on this 996.

Wheels & Tyres

Sitting on the 18" Turbo wheels, and wrapped in Michelin Pilot Sport tyres, the stance on this 911 is just right.

The wheels are in excellent condition, take a look at the photos of each to see.

Bodywork

Straight sound and true, the bodywork on this Turbo looks in excellent condition. No rust observed, and all the shut-lines and panel gaps look correct across the car.

Paint

The Seal Grey paint looks great on this car, it helps to accentuate the wide body of the Turbo. The paint is even in finish and colour across the car.

There are a few small stone chips in the outer lacquer of the paint on the front wings, and a slight mark on the bonnet, but in general as you will be able to see the car is stunning. These have been picked up in our photos and videos for you to review.

Glass and Trim

All look great, no fog/frosting issues on the headlights which was a common issue on the 996.

Interior

The interior of the car has been cared for just like the exterior, and it looks really good in the light grey leather finish and carpets.

Seats and Carpets

The leather on the seats, and the condition of the carpets throughout look great.

Both the front seats have some slight marking near the electronic seat adjusts, but other than that they really look good. Take a look at the video review to see all the details.

Dashboard

Finished with a white dial, the instrument panel really pings and makes you feel like you are in control of something very special indeed.

Steering Wheel / Gear Stick

Wrapped in grey leather, the controls look in good condition.

They don’t look new, a bit of wear in line with the age, but nothing to detract from the smartness of the cabin. Take a look at the images.

Mechanics

Kevin's friend took us out on a quick drive in the car, to see how it performs on the road.

Engine and Gearbox

The 3.6L turbo engine and Tiptronic gearbox drive this car. On cold start the car fired up without issue, and on the drive the combination of engine/gearbox propelled us along with no issues.

Suspension and Brakes

This car has some upgrades in the form of torsion bars and 6 pot calipers on the brakes. The result is a very planted, stable, and capable Turbo on the road.

The Drive

A short blast around the local roads, putting the car through its paces in both auto and semi-auto modes, to really hear that engine sing.

Have the calipers just been sprayed yellow? There’s no factory code for PCCB Carbon Ceramic Brakes so presume so nor carbon interior trims so presume all aftermarket?

No they are OEM upgraded X50 TurboS race brakes with 6 pot callipers to give immense stopping power. New pads and discs and pipe work also when fitted just a few thousand miles ago so barely worn in.

The HPI has been checked by another buyer and he’s confirmed there’s no HPI.
