Introduction
Glyn Parry
As if the 996 Turbo wasn't capable enough in standard guise, Stuttgart added more spice with the X50.
The Porsche 911 Turbo was introduced at the turn of the century in 2000, coming from the factory with a staggering ~414BHP coupled to an all-wheel drive system that could reliably and quickly put the power down; as a result of this the Turbo quickly became a popular sports car and had no difficulty in upholding the reputation of the 911. The 996 introduced a complete redesign for the vehicle, with smoother body lines, a longer nose, and a significantly lighter chassis that was 45% stiffer than its predecessor. All of this combined to represent a considerable milestone in Porsche’s history, with some marking the introduction of the 996 Turbo as the beginning of the Porsche everyday supercar age.
This particular car comes to market from a ~12-year ownership, and just 2 former keepers have had the pleasure before. The car has the desirable "X50 Pack" from factory, that boosts output to ~444BHP. In addition, the specification in coupe form with manual gearbox and no sunroof make this car about as stiff as you can get. The servicing has been carried out when needed based on mileage, and overall this is an extremely well-presented car in "Midnight Blue Metallic" over "Metropol Blue" leather interior.

I WANT ONEAsk Questions
Hi Stephen.
Can you confirm that the rear spoiler operates okay please?
also – could you let me know the current Reg number please?
The documents show 9 WXA, but I’m guessing this is now on retention?
Hi Mike the spoiler operates as it should. The reg number is AK52EYV
Hi. In image 57 of the exterior photos there is possibly some oil residue under the car? Can that be confirmed what it is please? The same part on the opposite side seems silver/dry. Thanks
Hi I’ve looked at image 57 I’m not sure what you mean.
If there is oil residue it’s not from this car.
Sorry I should have said image 57 on the mechanical photos. Compared to the other side (image 69) the part looks either wet or has a coating of some sort on it. Clearly only minor whatever it is but just trying to understand what I’m looking at there.
Image 57 in the mechanics pictures I do see oil one side and dry the other sorry not sure what it is would have to speak with the Porsche mechanic that looks after the vehicle.
Hi there, the MOT shows a number of advisories related to brake pipe corrosion. Can you advise whether this has been fixed? Thank you.
Hi sorry for the late reply.
The corrosion on the brake pipe is very light.
The Porsche mechanic that has always worked on this car for me has told me that there is not a problem with them and they do not need changing.
Hi, can you confirm if the clutch was ever replaced in the last 50,000 miles?
Hi I have never had the clutch replaced
