Introduction
Tom Valle
The stuff of legends; four-wheel drive, manual, water-cooled 911 Turbo. A compact and practical supercar.
Introduced in 2000, the 911 Turbo (996) completely out-shone its competition, it’s all wheel-drive system collaborated with its performance made it one of the best choices on the market. Coupled with the comfort and practicality of reliable Porsche engineering, it continued to ensure the Turbo remained a household name.
The 996 presented a milestone for the German car maker with a redesign developed by Pinky Lai (also responsible for the designs of both the 987 Boxter and Cayman), lines were smoothed, windscreen pushed back, it also offered a level of comfort that both upon its release and now makes it so appealing to many. The redesign allowed the car to be significantly lighter than its predecessors, whilst being 45% stiffer - in essence it was the first of the modern 911 supercars, but still incorporated the recognisable tear-drop shape of the 911s earlier models.
This 2003 model boasts a reasonable ~57,000 miles from new, all important 6-speed manual gearbox and the turbo inducted 3.6L flat six engine. Finished off with a sleek black leather interior, it offers that unfussy approach you'd expect from a driver and performance focused sports car.

Hi in 2019 when you had the major work done,it’s says it was put back together and still had a coolant leak? Has this been rectified & is there any damage to the radiators,
Sorry in advance if the question has already been asked
Thanks
I’m not the owner, but reading that invoice it does say that the clips were at fault and re secured, then re-checked and ok. Hope that helps.
Hi
This is a straight car never been involved in accident no finance etc.

This is a straight car
u can see poked in the eye its not standard
Good morning
Remap and exhaust was done by specialist cars malton literally just before I bought the car, they told me it was a Revo stage 2 map and a eurocup exhaust about 12.000 miles ago. I had the larger diameter manifolds fit at 50.444 miles approximate 6.000 miles ago. Being honest I wouldn’t know re your comment return to stock but most remaps are easily reversed.
Hope this helps
Michael
Hi Michael, are you able to add details of the remap and exhaust work? When was that done and how many miles? Do you know how easy it would be to return to stock?
Hi Dave
Yes, please call Trade classics during business hours to arrange.

Michael

Hi Michael
How many owners does the car have including yourself?
Hi Chris
I mentioned in an earlier post that it had a remap along with big bore manifold and exhaust.
Hope this helps
Regards
Michael
Hello Michael,
You mention in the descriptions that the engine is producing in excess of 500 bhp as against the standard engine output of 414 bhp – that’s a pretty big increase. I understand that the exhaust system could contribute perhaps 10-15 BHP but can you please tell me where the other power increase comes from, I have looked at the invoices shown and cannot see any items that suggest this increase. Has the engine management system been chipped ? I like your car but would appreciate further information and look forward to hearing from you.
With kind regards and many thanks,
Chris.
Just to clarify the comments under wheels and tyres, the slight marking on the rims are on the rim protectors, which I have a brand new set for the new owner
Regards
Michael
Does it have Bose ? As none of the pics have the rear seats down so can’t tell if it has the sub or not cheers Steve .

Quick update, the two small areas of surface rust on the lower corners of the front wheel arches have been rectified by the bodyshop now. We will upload photographs of this when they come through from Michael. Best, Kulraj – Trade Classics
why cant you leave stuff alone ? maybe buyers wanted to repair stuff ?
any news on what the bodyshop done is it a smart repair as in will need doing again in under a year ?
Hi did the full wing so is really good job
Firstly I am not a mechanic.
I take my cars for an MOT every year if there is a fail on anything I have it done immediately, so regarding the pipes they are not leaking.
regarding £5 Thousand receipt
B,1, Sump pipes not leaking
B,2, o/s/r coolant pipe . states on paperwork these were re secured no leaking.
C, I was told by porsche Malton the upgrade was a simple remap,
also fitted was big bore manifold and upgraded exhaust
D , It has been serviced in line with use
E, Private number will be removed.
F, I do not have other wheels, all other parts you mention are original
Hope this helps
Michael
A. These issues above have come up repeatedly as advisories on recent MOTs. Is there any leaking? Are these expected to be addressed in near future?
1. Front Brake pipe corroded, covered in grease or other material (All)
2. Brake hose has slight corrosion to ferrule (All)
B. Regarding the £5k works carried out in Oct 2019 (picture 35/40 on history receipts);
1. Pipes were left still connected to sump when the turbo was removed, stating that “due to the age and corrosion these pipes would require replacement if tried to remove”. Are these pipes leaking? Have they been replaced?
2. O/s/r coolant pipe “repaired but still leaking” – Has this been fixed and how? i.e. replaced or repaired? What’s the condition of the coolant pipes in general? Have they welded or fixed in another way?
C. To what extent have the upgrades to over 500bhp impacted or strained the engine and turbos? How has this contributed to the need for the rebuild of the twin turbo system and other works carried out? Were there other factors that contributed to this?
D. To what extent has the major service in Oct 2019 addressed all issues with the vehicle given the intermittent service history?
E. Will private plate of MVB6 form part of the sale?
F. Do you have any of the original parts which were replaced, namely; wing mirrors, rear spoiler, air intakes, wheels?
Thanks in advance
